Rep. Boebert hawks for fiscal efficiency as she says Washington bureaucrats ‘spend, spend, spend’

By BRIAN PORTER | Rocky Mountain Voice Despite ever-rising inflationary pricing on everything from milk to meat, Americans are tightening their belts and living within a family budget. Washington should do the same, U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert said during a Wednesday evening appearance on "Stinchfield Tonight". President Joe Biden's self-named "Bidenomic" economy pushed many Americans to the brink, she says, with "record inflation" that has "decimated our bank and retirement accounts" and resulted in increases to such commodities as gasoline, utilities and groceries, "making it so hard for Americans to live," Boebert complained. https://twitter.com/RepBoebert/status/1864490165391028504 The President had recently asked Congress for another $24 billion in aid for Ukraine, which wo...

‘Most corrupt and partisan President our nation has ever seen’

By BRIAN PORTER | Rocky Mountain Voice The question 4th District U.S. Rep. Ken Buck, R-Windsor, once popularly asked was "Where's Hunter?" Now, the nation and his successor, U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Windsor, want to know "Why Hunter?" The troubled son of the President, Hunter Biden was given a pardon by Joe Biden on Sunday, an erasure of his litany of criminal wrongdoings. It was not accompanied by pardons for Jan. 6 protesters, Julian Assange or even for Donald J. Trump -- just for his son, Hunter. https://twitter.com/GunOwners/status/1863386274670735575 "Joe Biden is the most corrupt and partisan President our nation has ever seen," Boebert started a Twitter/X post on Tuesday. A pardon which absolves Hunter of any criminal dilemma of the past 10 years -- a time in whi...

Boebert’s ZIP code bill boosting rural towns passes House Oversight Committee with unanimous support

By Jen Schumann | Contributor, Rocky Mountain Voice Rural America is home to nearly 60 million individuals. That's one out of every five Americans. Many argue that policymakers overlook rural America. Yet a simple bill led by U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Silt) will have a big impact on small towns.  “I am thrilled to see my bipartisan Zip Code bill pass through the House Oversight Committee with unanimous bipartisan support," Boebert said this week in a statement. The introduction of ZIP codes in the 60s transformed mail delivery. They also became vital to economic growth, public safety and community identity. But many communities still face challenges without unique ZIP Codes, leading to misdirected tax revenue and delayed emergency responses. Congresswoman Boebert took action ...

Boebert, Hurd commit to seamless transition in 3rd District U.S. House leadership

By Jen Schumann | Contributor, Rocky Mountain Voice Colorado Republicans have had some inner-party drama this year. But, teamwork is possible. U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert and U.S. Rep.-elect Jeff Hurd are proving it. In a joint press release, the two pledge a smooth transition of leadership for Colorado's 3rd U.S. House District. Boebert presently serves in the seat. Hurd will serve in the seat come January. They both express confidence in each other and their teams. “As legislators wrap up our work for the 118th Congress, it is critically important that the people of Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District experience a smooth transition of representation as Congressman-elect Jeff Hurd begins his term in January,” says Boebert. The congresswoman highlights ongoing collaboration, not...

Boebert sounds alarm on massive Biden-Harris Admin land grab in Western Colorado

By Jen Schumann | Contributor, Rocky Mountain Voice U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert is sounding the alarm over a land grab by the Biden-Harris Administration's Bureau of Land Management. The BLM's new resource management plans target 183 million acres of public lands in the West. They prioritize conservation, including habitat protection for the Gunnison Sage-Grouse. Joining Boebert in opposition to the plans are Bruce Westerman, the chairman of the House Natural Resources Committee, and Chelsie Miera, the executive director of the Western Slope Oil & Gas Association. They worry about the economic fallout from such land management decisions in Colorado and Utah. The BLM recently made amendments to 11 Resource Management Plans (RMPs) in Colorado and Utah, which impacts vast areas o...

If you don’t know Danielle Jurinsky, you might after Donald Trump’s MAGA rally in Aurora

By BRIAN PORTER | Rocky Mountain Voice When Danielle Jurinsky returned to civilian life after nine years serving in the Air Force, most of it at Buckley Air Base, and after building multiple businesses employing more than 50 residents, adding to her responsibility may not have been a consideration. But, that's just what she did, running for and being elected as a member of City Council in the town where she was raised. It would almost be unfathomable to consider anyone in Colorado hasn't heard of the Aurora city councilwoman in the past few months. She's been at the forefront of discoveries the Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Araqua was active in some areas of the town, and leading in the assistance for some of the most affected residents. In a few days, the nation might also kn...

U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert listens to Western Slope leaders on energy, water and land use

By Jen Schumann | Contributor, Rocky Mountain Voice Meet Bryce and Lisa Casto, sixth-generation ranchers on the Western Slope, who are worried that the Dolores Monument designation will close their roads and leave them unable to care for their livestock.  Bryce understands the importance of local communities managing the land around them. “When it's locally controlled, we control it better because we will harvest whatever can be harvested," he said. "It's close to home, so we want to make sure we're taken care of.”  Their livelihood depends on the very issues discussed at Colorado Mesa University on Oct. 5 with U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert, during a listening session in which participants were encouraged to bring their concerns — and those of many like them — to the foref...

Rep. Boebert sets mobile office hours at five locations Sept. 18-19 and 24

By BRIAN PORTER | Rocky Mountain Voice Residents of the 3rd Congressional District are invited to participate in one of five mobile office events being offered Sept. 18-19 and 24 with staff from U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert's office. “Our Congressional mobile office hours provide an opportunity for constituents in remote parts of the 3rd District to get the assistance they need from our staffers who can help them in a variety of ways," Boebert said. "Meeting Coloradans where they are is a critical part of the work our office does and I know our mobile office hours will continue to be a huge help to rural constituents.” Staff is available during the events to assist residents with federal agencies, including the Veterans Administration, expedited help with passports, taxpayers being ha...

Fabbricatore to be joined Thursday at Aurora rally for border security by U.S. Reps Boebert, Roy

By BRIAN PORTER | Rocky Mountain Voice When Colorado Gov. Jared Polis termed the alleged gang infiltration of an apartment complex in Aurora "imagination" and his allies alleged it to be right-wing conspiracy, John Fabbricatore acted. He confirmed activity of the violent Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua in Aurora and his X/Twitter account became a tip line. “I am greatly concerned about the uptick in crime, gang presence and flood of fentanyl acrossour borders," Fabbricatore said. "The Biden-Harris administration has allowed floods of unvetted illegal migrants to cross our borders." The former regional director of ICE and the Republican nominee in Colorado's 6th District for the U.S. House will be joined Thursday by U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colorado, and U.S. Rep. Chip ...
