Polis Signs New Law Allowing Lawsuits Against Licensed Counselors Despite Free Speech Concerns

By Marissa Ventrelli | Colorado Politics Gov. Jared Polis on Monday signed a bill enabling individuals who underwent “conversion therapy” to seek damages from practitioners, calling it harmful and ineffective as he also moved to prohibit state funding for it. Conversion therapy refers to practices that attempt to counsel people on their choices of sexual orientation or gender identity. Critics argue that these efforts are ineffective and can cause harm, while supporters contend that decisions about participating in such practices should be left to families. House Bill 1322 — sponsored by Reps. Alex Valdez, D‑Denver, and Karen McCormick, D‑Hygiene, along with Sens. Lisa Cutter, D‑Evergreen, and Kyle Mullica, D‑Thornton — would allow individuals to bring civil claim...

Young Americans are dropping trans and queer labels, study finds sharp cultural shift

By Bryan Chai | The Western Journal Critics of transgenderism have often described the trend as a “social contagion.” A blistering new report from the Centre for Heterodox Social Science just gave that label newfound heft. In short, the report found that, after surging in the 2010s and 2020s, trans and “queer” identities are in sharp decline among young Americans. Colleges — typically maligned as being the breeding ground for far-leftism in 2025 — saw the number of trans-identifying students cut nearly in half after its peak in 2023. That year, nearly 7 percent of college students identified as trans. That number now sits at less than 4 percent. The report also made a point to note that that percentage could drop even further soon: “Today’s freshmen are less BTQ...

Bowdey: June’s pride celebrations face a corporate retreat

By Suzanne Bowdey | Daily Signal , Commentary America is four weeks away from the LGBTQ movement’s biggest party, and companies are already RSVP’ing no. Thirty days out from Pride Month, the Left’s suffocating celebration of all things gay and trans, it’s obvious the cause’s long march through corporate America hasn’t just stalled, it’s in full-blown retreat. Just two years after Dylan Mulvaney’s catastrophic undoing of Bud Light, June’s over-the-top extremism—at least as a wholesale business concept—is dead. And taking plenty of influential mouthpieces with it. For most CEOs, it’s been a year of unprecedented realignment. Dozens of major brands are following up on their commitments to drop DEI and progressive political causes with news that they’ll no longer be spo...

Butcher: Major textbook publisher caught spreading LGBTQ and DEI ideology in schools

By Jonathan Butcher  | Daily Signal “Pretty disgusting” and “grotesque.” That’s how a Florida parent described an online session for students on “gender” provided by two K-12 virtual public schools in November—a session that virtual school officials held without first informing parents. This schools’ attempt to sidestep families is just the latest in a long list of examples demonstrating that some educators and academic publishers will simply go around parents to push lewd content on K-12 students. Yet this particular incident has implications for local, state, and even federal policymakers. READ THE FULL STORY AT THE DAILY SIGNAL
