Colorado Libertarians will field candidates in 7 of 8 U.S. House seats

By BRIAN PORTER | The Rocky Mountain Voice COLORADO SPRINGS -- The Colorado Libertarian Party will field candidates in seven of eight U.S. House races in the general election, Chairwoman Hannah Goodman announced here Saturday during the party's state convention. No candidate will be fielded in Colorado's 1st District, where Democrat Diana DeGette took 80.3% support in the 2022 general election. In the 2nd District, Gaylon Kent will run for the seat held by Democrat Joe Neguse, who gathered 70.0% of the vote in the 2022 election. Kent was the Libertarian nominee for U.S. Senate in 2014 and the nominee in the 3rd District in 2016 and 2018. Libertarian Party notes growth in relevancy, influence as state convention opens

By BRIAN PORTER | The Rocky Mountain Voice COLORADO SPRINGS -- The relevancy of the Colorado Libertarian Party has advanced in the past year in several measurable ways, State Chairwoman Hannah Goodman said as she opened the party's annual state convention here Saturday. One of those measurements have been increased media exposure, she said, including on local TV programming. "We have had more press exposure than in a long time," she said. "There's no secret we have all been held hostage by the Democratic majority. What we sought to do is pressure both [major] parties to run solid liberty candidates." Libertarians will gather for party’s convention March 23-24 in Colorado Springs

By BRIAN PORTER | The Rocky Mountain Voice The Colorado Libertarian Party’s Convention is Saturday-Sunday, March 23-24, in Colorado Springs at the Masonic Center, 1150 Panorama Dr. Business meetings of the party will be conducted during daytime hours at the convention. A debate among Libertarian Presidential candidates, featuring many of the potential candidates, will highlight evening activities.
