By Julia Johnson | Colorado Springs Gazette Former President Donald Trump's campaign released a memo Tuesday declaring Saturday's Republican primary in South Carolina as "the end" of former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley's presidential campaign. Trump senior advisers Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles authored the new memo, titled "The End Is Near For Nikki Haley," in which they state that South Carolina's nominating contest will mark the close of Haley's 2024 bid, whether she agrees or not. Former President Donald Trump easily won Nevada's Republican presidential caucus, according to a projection from the Associated Press. Donald Trump could pass the 100 delegate threshold later this month, signaling the foregone conclusion he is on the way to his third straight nomination as the Republican Party’s choice for President. He has thus far gathered 33 delegates in Iowa and New Hampshire to the 17 collected by Nikki Haley, Trump’s lone remaining challenger. But, the outcome in Nevada was especially harmful to Haley.
