Trump issues visa ban impacting 19 countries, effective June 9

President Donald Trump signed a proclamation on Wednesday that suspends nationals from 12 countries from entering the United States, and it also restricts people from seven other countries from entering. Unlike an executive order, a proclamation issued by the president isn’t legally binding but generally signals a shift in official federal government policy. The driver, who was 15 years old at the time of the 2024 crash, pleaded guilty to a felony in the death of 24-year-old Kaitlyn Weaver. Investigators say he was doing 90 miles per hour in a 45 mile per hour zone when he plowed into her car.
