Quoting: “Senate Finance Committee members voted down HB 1327 by a 7-2 margin on Thursday, with four Democrats joining the committee’s three Republicans in opposing it. Sen. Cathy Kipp, D-Fort Collins, said she was for the idea before groups like CCLP convinced her of its faults, and Sen. Colorado Health Care Bailout Bill Could Hit Families and Small Businesses With $40 Million Fee

By Shaun Boyd | CBS Colorado Colorado insurers say health care premiums could increase by hundreds of dollars in 2027. The warning comes as state lawmakers consider $40 million in new fees on insurers that the companies say they'll pass on to policyholders.  Democratic stet Sens. Iman Jodeh and Kyle Mullica are sponsoring a bill that would bail out the Health Insurance Affordability Enterprise, which is short $140 million. The enterprise subsidizes care for 176,000 Coloradans on Connect for Health Colorado and 6,700 undocumented immigrants on OmniSalud. Senate Finance Committee advances RFK Jr. nomination for HHS secretary

By Josh Christenson | New York Post The Senate Finance Committee voted Tuesday to advance the nomination of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to lead the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) after a pair of contentious hearings last week. All 14 Republicans on the panel — including Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) and Senate Majority Whip John Barasso (R-Wyo.) — voted to support President Trump’s pick of Kennedy, with all 13 Democrats opposed. Kennedy, 71, is expected to be considered by the full Senate sometime next week, and would clinch confirmation so long as no more than three Republicans vote against him.
