Internet roasts Politico for claiming Vance’s beard shows ‘toxic masculinity’ while Walz’s eyes show ‘passion’

By Carmen Schober | Evie After JD Vance stole the show on Tuesday, Politico scrambled to help out Harris-Walz, and the best they could come up with was turning Vance's beard into a weapon of patriarchal terror. “One of the first bits of nonverbal communication to appear in the debate was on JD Vance’s face: his beard," they wrote. "As Politico Magazine has noted before, Vance is the first White House wannabe to wear facial hair in 80 years. Our appearance is fundamental to our body language, and research indicates that voters see beards as (surprise, surprise) more masculine. That can be positive to some, reading as strength and competence. But to others, especially women, it can be negative, conveying aggression and opposition to feminist ideals." READ THE FU...

Harris’ migration pushes up housing costs, crowds schools and fills hospitals, J.D. Vance says in debate

By Neil Munro  | Breitbart The mass migration supported by Kamala Harris crowds American schools, fills hospitals, and drives up the cost of family housing, Sen. JD Vance told the viewers watching CBS News’s vice presidential debate. “The people that I’m most worried about in Springfield, Ohio, are the American citizens who have had their lives destroyed by Kamala Harris’s open border,” he said, before turning to the Democratic candidate, Tim Walz. "It is a disgrace. Tim [Walz], and I actually think I agree with you. I think you want to solve this problem, but I don’t think that Kamala Harris does." READ THE FULL STORY AT BREITBART

J.D. Vance tops Tim Walz in CBS post-debate exit polling, but 17% say it was a tie

By Breck Dumas  | Breitbart Sen. J.D. Vance’s (R-OH) regard for the facts appeared to help him outperform the sugar-coated whimsy of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) during Tuesday night’s vice presidential debate. At least, that is the opinion of those polled immediately after the showdown by CBS News, which hosted the forum. According to the CBS poll as seen by the Hill, 42 percent of debate watchers say Vance, a Yale-trained lawyer, won the debate. Walz trails closely behind with 41 percent of viewers saying he was victorious. About 17 percent said it was a tie. Nearly all, 88 percent, of debate viewers said the Vance-Walz face-off was generally positive, while 12 percent said it was generally negative, the survey showed. READ THE FULL STORY AT BREITBART...

Heightened ‘significance and importance’ as J.D. Vance, Tim Walz face off in VP debate

By Paul Steinhauser , Brooke Singman  | Fox News With a second face-to-face showdown between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Trump unlikely - and with a margin-of-error race with five weeks until Election Day in November - there's a lot on the line in the vice presidential debate. While debates between the running mates are the undercard of a White House race and have rarely moved the need much in the past, when Republican vice presidential nominee Sen. JD Vance of Ohio and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the Democrats' nominee, face-off on Tuesday, there will be heightened stakes. Any major knockout blow - or agonizing misstep - could turn what's traditionally seen as a second-tier event into an impactful showdown. READ THE FULL STORY AT FOX NEWS...

Walz’s alleged ties to Chinese Communist Party deepen on eve of VP debate with Vance

By Paul Bois | Breitbart Rep. James Comer (R-Kent.) has subpoenaed Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas about unspecified allegations of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) connections against Democrat Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.  In a letter accompanying the subpoena released on Thursday, Comer said the House Oversight and Accountability Committee received information from a whistleblower about “serious concern among Department of Homeland Security (DHS) personnel regarding a longstanding connection between” Tim Walz and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The letter was issued just one day before Walz is set to debate Trump vice-presidential pick JD Vance in the televised debate on Tuesday. Per the Hill: READ THE FULL STORY AT BREITBART

Tim Walz stumped by question on inflation; repeats lie about Trump ‘sales tax’

By Joel B. Pollak | Breitbart Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the Democratic nominee for vice president, was stumped Tuesday when asked by a reporter to explain what he and Vice President Kamala Harris would do for families struggling financially. In an interview with local Macon, Georgia, CBS affiliate WMAZ, Walz first said that he and Harris understood the problem because they are “middle class.” He then offered a series of her proposals unrelated to inflation: I tell them Kamala Harris and I know something about it being middle-class folks. Our family sit at the table trying to pay the bill. We know coming out of the COVID pandemic with prices where they were, that people need to see some relief. And I think that’s why Kamala Harris has put out a plan — especially around home ow...

Kamala Harris, Tim Walz promote false framing of JD Vance statement on shootings

By Paul Bois | Breitbart Kamala Harris and her VP pick Tim Walz pushed the false framing of Republican Sen. JD Vance’s statement on shootings despite the Associated Press (AP) engendering backlash earlier. The Associated Press ignited massive backlash on Thursday when it blatantly misquoted Republican vice presidential pick JD Vance on school shootings. Speaking at a rally in Phoenix, Arizona, Vance said he does not like that school shootings have become a “fact of life” while calling for better security. “If these psychos are going to go after our kids, we’ve got to be prepared for it,” Vance said. “We don’t have to like the reality that we live in, but it is the reality we live in. We’ve got to deal with it.” When the journalist asked Vance what the country could do to stop s...

Johnson: The Top 7 Tim Walz’s Lies

By Ben Johnson  | Daily Signal CNN thinks it understands what sets Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz apart from the average politician: honesty. “[W]hat Walz has—and it’s rare in politics these days—is that he’s totally comfortable in his own skin. He knows who he is. He’s authentic. And he doesn’t try to be someone else,” said CNN’s Chris Cillizza. Yet Walz stands accused of purveying a string of lies, errors, and prevarications stretching back to his earliest days in politics, fibbing about everything from his military service to whether he won an obscure award from the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce as a 29-year-old man. Here is a far-from-exhaustive list of the mistruths Walz has communicated. READ MORE AT THE DAILY SIGNAL...

Walz says he lied about going to war because he struggles with grammar

By M.D. Kittle | The Federalist Kamala Harris and her running mate sat down with CNN’s Dana Bash for their first semi-substantive interview since Joe Biden’s political wake. Gov. Tim Walz, D-Minn., has made a political career out of “misspeaking.” Why stop now?   The No. 2 on the Democratic Party’s forced dream team campaign ticket, featuring the joyous empty vessel Vice President Kamala Harris, was back to doing what he seems to do best Thursday night. After several weeks of evading actual questions, Harris and her running mate sat down with CNN’s Dana Bash for the first semi-substantive interview of their honeymoon campaign — more than a month after President Joe Biden’s political wake.  READ THE FULL STORY AT THE FEDERALIST

Biden-Harris admin working to ‘Trump-proof’ hundreds of DOJ jobs, watchdog says

By Jamie Joseph | Fox News The Biden-Harris administration may be attempting to "Trump-proof" the Department of Justice (DOJ) by hiring permanent appointees to some federal positions, according to findings from a watchdog group's public records request.  Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) documents obtained by Protect the Public’s Trust (PPT) and shared with Fox News Digital show the administration is using an "obscure hiring authority" that bypasses normal hiring processes based on merit to secure DOJ positions that could thwart former President Trump's agenda if he takes office in 2025.  READ THE FULL STORY AT FOX NEWS
