Divided Supreme Court sides with Trump to block teacher grants

By  Zach Schonfeld | The Hill A divided Supreme Court sided with the Trump administration by allowing officials to block $65 million in teacher development grants frozen over concerns they were promoting diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) practices.  The 5-4 emergency ruling, for now, lifts a lower order that forced the Education Department to resume the grants in eight Democratic-led states that are suing. Five of the court’s six conservatives sided with the administration to grant the request. Chief Justice John Roberts and the court’s three liberal justices dissented.  READ THE FULL STORY AT THE HILL

Trump Admin to crack down on public housing for illegal aliens

By Spencer Lindquist | Daily Wire The Trump administration is working to prevent illegal aliens from accessing public housing, with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Housing and Urban Development (HUD) teaming up to end the “wasteful misappropriation” of taxpayer money. The two federal agencies laid out their plans in a memorandum of understanding, stating that they will share data and work together to identify illegal aliens who are currently in public housing. “We will safeguard precious taxpayer resources, and we will stop the harmful practices of the former Biden administration, which favored and prioritized illegal aliens over American citizens in the expenditure of housing funds and subsidies,” the memo reads, also adding that the measure is intended to “hel...

‘Leave now’: Trump admin repurposes controversial CBP One app to encourage self-deportations

By Adam Shaw , Bill Melugin  | Fox News The Trump administration is rolling out a new app to replace the controversial CBP One app with the new replacement designed to facilitate the self-deportation of illegal immigrants. The Department of Homeland Security is announcing the CBP Home app -- which will launch with a self-deportation reporting feature for those in the country illegally.  It replaces the CBP One app, which was expanded by the Biden administration to allow migrants to schedule appointments at ports of entry to be paroled into the U.S. Hundreds of thousands were paroled into the U.S. as a result. The Trump administration has ended the ability to use the app for that purpose.  READ THE FULL STORY AT FOX NEWS

Trump Admin finds Maine in violation of Civil Rights Law for allowing men in women’s sports

By  Breccan F. Thies | The Federalist The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services notified the state of Maine that it is violating Title IX civil rights law by persisting in allowing males in female sports. The letter sent to the office of Gov. Janet Mills, D-Maine, as well as the state’s attorney general office, states that Maine violated the law by continuing to allow sex-based discrimination in school programs and activities that receive federal dollars. “Maine Democrats continue to play chicken with hundreds of millions of dollars in federal funding and the future of girls’ sports in Maine is at stake,” Republican state Rep. Laurel Libby told The Federalist. “Nearly 70% of Democrats agree that biological males should not be allowed to compete against girls. As a result of...

Trump Admin reforms ‘unaccompanied alien children’ policy to prevent trafficking

By Neil Munro | Breitbart President Donald Trump’s deputies have reformed the Democrats’ 2008 “Unaccompanied Alien Children” (UAC) program to shrink migrant smuggling by labor traffickers and by illegal migrant parents. “This is another big win,” said the Immigration Accountability Project. “It would mean fewer children handed over to sex or labor traffickers.” But Democrat-affiliated pro-migration groups lament the reforms, which will require government officials to verify the legal or illegal status of people who volunteer to “sponsor” the many youth migrants who are welcomed across the border and housed in government-funded hostels. CIA offers incentives to resign to whole workforce as part of Trump plan

By Ross O'Keefe | Washington Examiner The CIA has reportedly offered the same eight-month incentives to resign that most federal employees have been extended as part of the Trump administration’s attempt to shrink the government. The original order excluded the CIA and other federal agencies. A CIA spokeswoman said the move was part of an effort to “infuse the agency with renewed energy,” the Wall Street Journal reported. The CIA is also freezing hiring for job seekers who have already been given a conditional offer. Some offers could even be rescinded, the outlet said. The Trump administration is purging federal agencies that don’t align with its ideology or aren’t motivated to work under them. Elon Musk’s Department of Government Eff...

FBI agents sue Trump DOJ to block any public identification of employees who worked on Jan. 6 investigations

By Breanne Deppisch | Fox News A group of nine FBI agents filed a lawsuit Tuesday seeking to block the public identification of any FBI employees who worked on the Jan. 6 investigations into the U.S. Capitol riots, in an attempt to head off what they described as potentially retaliatory efforts against personnel involved in the probe. The plaintiffs, who filed the lawsuit anonymously in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, said that any effort to review or discriminate against FBI employees involved in the Jan. 6 investigations would be "unlawful and retaliatory," and a violation of civil service protections under federal law. The lawsuit cited the questionnaire employees were required to fill out detailing their specific role in the Jan. 6 investigation and Mar-a...

U.S. confirms departure from Paris climate deal

By Simon Kent | Breitbart Washington notified the United Nations on Tuesday to confirm it is delivering on a key campaign pledge of President Donald Trump and withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement to put U.S. energy and job growth first. On his first day back in the White House, Trump announced America would leave the accord, which is managed by the U.N. climate change body. “In recent years, the United States has purported to join international agreements and initiatives that do not reflect our country’s values or our contributions to the pursuit of economic and environmental objectives,” Trump’s executive order read. Trump admin orders federal employees in DEI offices to be placed on paid leave as agencies wind down diversity initiatives

By Victor Nava | New York Post The Trump administration on Tuesday ordered all federal employees working on diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives to be placed on paid leave as government agencies work to shutter DEI offices.  The Office of Personnel Management, the government’s top human resources agency, informed federal department heads in a memo that DEI program employees must be notified by 5 p.m. Wednesday that their administrative leave is “effective immediately.”  The memo further directs federal agencies to take down all “outward facing media” — such as webpages and social media accounts — focused on DEI programs, cancel all employee diversity trainings and terminate any DEI-related contracts by the same deadline.  READ THE FULL ...
