Trump Administration Releases Key Funds For Colorado River Water Project

By Marianne Goodland | The Denver Gazette The Trump administration on Friday released $40 million, clearing the way for a water district and its partners to finish funding the purchase of some of the state’s most senior Colorado River water rights, Gov. Jared Polis announced. Federal funding for the Shoshone water rights owned by Public Service Company, a division of Xcel Energy, was approved by the Biden administration in 2024 through the Inflation Reduction Act. An executive order issued shortly after President Donald Trump took office in January 2025 put that funding on hold. With the $40 million in federal funding on its way, the project’s funding now stands at $97 million, close enough to its $99 million total cost that the Colorado River Conservation District can move int...

Caputo Steps Forward As First Test Of Anti Weaponization Fund

By Roger Stone | The Stone Zone Michael R. Caputo is not merely a veteran of political warfare. He is a patriot, a communicator of rare skill, a loyal friend, and a man who has paid an obscene personal price for the crime of supporting Donald J. Trump. Mike is also a good personal friend of mine. In fact, when he was a very young man he was at one point my driver. I have known him long enough to know the measure of the man. Beneath the armor of a tough political operative is a devoted husband, a loving father, a man of deep faith, and an American who has endured the machinery of a weaponized government with uncommon courage. Now Michael Caputo has become the first known American to publicly file a claim with the new Anti Weaponization Fund established by the Department of Justice. His cl...

Vance Backs Compensation For Tina Peters As Colorado Fallout Grows

By Jessica Porter | Denver7 The Vice President made the comments when asked about a new $1.8 billion fund for political allies. DENVER — Vice President JD Vance held Tina Peters up as a shining example of someone who should be compensated under the Trump administration's newly created $1.8 billion "Anti-Weaponization Fund.” “This innocent grandmother was going to spend 10 years in prison, completely disproportionate to any misdemeanor trespassing that I have ever seen. Was that fair, no? Is it reasonable to get some compensation for the fact that she was treated unfairly? I think the answer was yes,” Vance said during a press conference on Tuesday. Tina Peters was convicted in 2024 of allowing an unauthorized person to download software from Mesa County’s elec...

GOP Lawmakers Push To Bar Illegal Immigrants From US Banking System

By Pedro Rodriguez | The Daily Signal FIRST ON THE DAILY SIGNAL—Citing concerns that access to financial services incentivizes illegal immigration and could aid terrorism, Rep. Keith Self, R‑Texas, introduced legislation Thursday that would bar illegal aliens from the U.S. banking system by requiring banks to collect customers’ citizenship or immigration status. “Access to America’s financial system is reserved for those who respect our laws—not for illegal aliens who break them,” Self told The Daily Signal. “Those who enter illegally should not be rewarded with taxpayer‑backed banking services. This legislation draws a hard line: If you are here illegally, you will not have access to our financial system.” The bill would prohibit covered financial insti...

From Congress to the Justice Department and the IRS, the Trump administration and allied lawmakers are examining the anonymity and tax-exempt status enjoyed by some of the most influential progressive organizations in the country. Trump Task Force Uncovers Nationwide Web Of Welfare And Immigration Fraud

By Steven Richards | Just the News The cost to taxpayers identified by Vice President JD Vance's task for targeting government benefit programs is mounting, and no plausible explanations are forthcoming. The Trump administration’s work to pare back waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government has reportedly exposed a vast network of taxpayer-fleecing scams, abuses of immigration, and of the citizenship process across all corners of the United States.  The story involves resettled refugees soaking up federal paychecks to run home healthcare and childcare businesses, transnational criminal organizations exploiting food benefit programs, and scammers using fake student profiles to make off with millions in federal student loans. It also involves non-monetary f...

Court Rules ICE Failed To Follow Warrantless Arrest Limits In Colorado

By Jessica Porter | Denver7 Agents are now barred from warrantless arrests pending mandatory training. DENVER — A federal judge has ruled that ICE violated a court order and the law by continuing to make unlawful warrantless arrests in Colorado. The ACLU of Colorado filed a lawsuit in October 2025 on behalf of four plaintiffs, alleging Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents arrested and detained people without warrants to fulfill quotas set by the Trump administration. Federal law only allows ICE agents to make warrantless arrests if an individual is a flight risk. In November 2025, a federal judge granted a preliminary injunction barring ICE from making warrantless arrests in Colorado. On May 12, a Colorado District Court judge ruled that...

DOJ Moves To Strip Citizenship From 12 Accused Of Terrorism Fraud And Child Abuse

By Washington Examiner Staff | The Washington Examiner The Department of Justice announced on Friday efforts to denaturalize 12 individuals in the United States who are accused of misrepresenting their backgrounds during immigration proceedings. Among the 12 the DOJ is seeking to denaturalize is a man convicted of sexual assault against a child, committing terrorist activities while a member of al Qaeda, financing al Qaeda, and supporting global terrorists, among other charges and accusations. Each of the 12 is accused of concealing this information during their individual naturalization proceedings. “Under the Immigration and Nationality Act, a naturalized U.S. citizen’s citizenship may be revoked, and certificate of naturalization canceled, if the naturalizat...

Farmers Ranchers And Fuel Costs Drive Debate In Colorado Congressional Race

By David O. Williams | Vail Daily Republican Ron Hanks, a former state lawmaker and U.S. Air Force intelligence officer, told the Vail Daily in a recent email interview that this year’s race for the 3rd Congressional District seat that includes part of Eagle County is all about accountability — a quality he says incumbent Republican Jeff Hurd severely lacks. “Hurd has not been responsive to the district, has taken unpopular positions, and has not stood up to take accountability for his actions,” said Hanks, who successfully landed on the June 30 primary ballot by virtue of a voice vote at the GOP Assembly in Pueblo last month. Hanks, who unsuccessfully challenged Hurd in the 2024 primary, got the required 30% or more of the delegates at the assembly, whi...

DOJ Predicts Supreme Court Will Protect AR 15 Ownership Nationwide

By John Solomon | Just the News "I think there is going to be a ruling eventually from the Supreme Court that AR-15s are legal for all law-abiding citizens to own and operate," Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon tells Just the News. The Justice Department's top civil rights lawyer believes the Trump administration's lawsuit this week against the city of Denver's gun ban will one day soon lead to a Supreme Court decision legalizing the AR-15 semiautomatic rifle – revered by gun owners and reviled by liberals – in every jurisdiction in America. "We intend to make sure they do that," Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon said in an interview set to be aired Wednesday night on the Just the News, No Noise television show. Dhillon spoke just h...
