By Oliver JJ Lane | Breitbart Marco Rubio and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov have met for talks on the future of the Ukraine war, but even before sitting down, Russia made clear it was approaching things with a hard bargaining mindset. Images of U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, flanked by America’s Middle East Envoy Steve Witkoff and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, and sitting opposite Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and President Putin’s advisor Yuri Ushakov have been published as talks begin on Tuesday morning. It is the first high-level talks between the U.S. and Russia since Moscow launched a second invasion of Ukraine nearly three years ago. The talks are taking place at the Al Diriyah Palace in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and are being mediated by Saudi Fo...

Canada punches back against Trump with major tariffs of its own as trade war set to begin on Tuesday

By Christopher Guly  | Fox Business Canada is responding to President Donald Trump’s 25% tariffs imposed on Saturday against its northern neighbor with its own major retaliatory measures, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced late Saturday night. As of Tuesday, when the U.S. tariffs take effect, Canada will impose 25% duties on about $21 billion of American goods with a further $86 billion to follow within 21 days to allow Canadian companies and supply chains to find alternatives, Trudeau told reporters at a news conference on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, surrounded by his foreign affairs, finance and public safety ministers. Trump to send thousands of migrants to Gitmo after Biden considered doing exactly the same thing

By Jason Hopkins | Daily Caller President Donald Trump ordered his administration to send tens of thousands of illegal migrants to Guantanamo Bay to help aid in his large-scale detention and deportation operation. For more than two decades, the Cuba-based Guantanamo Bay Naval Base has been used to hold suspected terrorists. While speaking at a ceremony for the signing of the Laken Riley Act, the president revealed that he would also be ordering the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Department of Defense (DoD) to construct a facility at the base to hold as many as 30,000 illegal migrants in an area distinct from where suspected terrorists are currently detained. This is not the first time the U.S. has utilized Guantanamo Bay for migrant detention. The Clinton administra...

Federal workforce in Colorado receives resignation emails in Trump’s buyout plan

By Mary Shinn | The Gazette Across Colorado, tens of thousands of employees received emails asking them to resign Tuesday, as part of President Donald Trump's effort to reshape the federal workforce that has received fierce pushback from unions. While most Department of Defense employees did not receive the email with the subject line "Fork in the Road," they went out to Defense Health Agency employees who work on military bases in Colorado Springs. One of the largest employers locally within the DHA is Evans Army Community Hospital on Fort Carson, with 2,300 military service members and civilians.  The offers to resign also went out to employees who work on public lands, such as the Forest Service, National Parks Service and Bureau of Land Management. Across the state, there...

Trump not only won election, he won the ‘lawfare war’

By Judicial Watch Pundits and historians will be a long time sorting out the magnitude of Donald Trump’s electoral victory but one thing already is clear: Trump not only triumphed in the presidential contest, he also won the lawfare war. The latter—a victory for the constitutional foundation of the country —may prove as consequential as the former. “Lawfare” is political war fought by other means: partisan warfare conducted in the courts and the media. Trump spent the entire Biden presidency battling lawfare cases brought by  Democrat-allied prosecutors and judges—by Justice Department Special Counsel Jack Smith, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis, New York State Attorney General Letitia James, New York judges Juan Merchan and Arthur ...

By Shawn Fleetwood | Commentary, The Federalist Americans are ‘sick of the possibility that the conflicts in which the military fights might not be worthwhile, and that’s devastating to recruitment.’ t’s safe to say that America has suffered greatly under the Biden-Harris administration. From a wide-open southern border to economic hardship, the laundry list of pains inflicted upon the public have been nothing short of horrific. While no institution has been spared from these radical policies, there’s one in particular whose suffering Americans who care about the future security of the United States should take heed of: the military. Breitbart News first obtained the montage featuring key members of Trump’s Cabinet pursuing the MAHA agenda. Bensman: Why reviving Trump’s ‘remain in Mexico’ policy will swiftly reduce border chaos

By Todd Bensman | Commentary, The Federalist Remain in Mexico worked very well under President Trump’s first term and foreshadows a more tranquil border very soon. In July 2019, I crossed the international bridge from El Paso into the sprawling Mexican border city of Juárez to gauge the effects of President Donald Trump’s so-called “Remain in Mexico” policy. On that blazing hot summer day, as 20,000 of an eventual 75,000 had just been expelled under the policy, I made my way by taxi to a shelter high up on a rise in the dangerous neighborhood of Anapra. The shelter is within eyesight of Mexico’s side of the American wall and El Paso beyond. I was soon interviewing recent expellee Veronica Janeth Tejeda of Yoro in northwestern Honduras as she played with one of her two expelled chi...
