What to know about the Trump-Putin meeting today
President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered statements in Alaska after their high-stakes meeting over ending the war in Ukraine.
In brief remarks, Putin hinted at unspecified "agreements" and Mr. Trump called the meeting "extremely productive," but neither leader referenced a ceasefire in Ukraine, which Mr. Trump was aiming to secure coming into the meeting.
The two leaders met alongside top aides for nearly three hours at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage after a carefully choreographed welcome that included a red carpet and military flyover.
