Where does the selection of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as vice president place a possible Kamala Harris-Walz presidential administration on the political spectrum?
It cements it as a far Left, radical ticket, the most radical in the country’s history, several sources in the Donald J. Trump presidential campaign said Tuesday.
“From proposing his own carbon-free agenda, to suggesting stricter emission standards for gas-powered cars, and embracing policies to allow convicted felons to vote, Walz is obsessed with spreading California’s dangerously liberal agenda far and wide,” Karoline Leavitt, the Trump-Vance campaign press secretary, wrote in a statement.
Walz is soft on crime and “loves” China, opposition research by the Republican Party indicates.
Walz is a San Francisco “wanna-be”, Leavitt said.
“Walz has spent his governorship trying to reshape Minnesota in the image of the Golden State,” she said. “While Walz pretends to support Americans in the Heartland, when the cameras are off, he believes that rural America is ‘mostly cows and rocks’.”
The Trump-Vance campaign released a video ad in response to the announcement of Walz as Harris’ vice-presidential selection in which it defines Walz as “another left-wing extremist”. It claims he’s a “rubber stamp” for the Harris agenda, “like allowing convicted felons to walk free, embracing anti-American Green New Deal policies, and giving up control of our southern border to criminal aliens and violent drug cartels.”
The Trump campaign criticizes Harris and Walz for supporting the policies which led to substantial inflation and cost-of-living increases, a porous border, and conflict abroad.
“By picking Tim Walz as her running mate, Kamala Harris not only bent the knee to the radical left, she doubled down on her dangerously liberal, weak, and failed agenda,” Brian Hughes, the Trump campaign’s senior advisor, wrote in a statement. “Walz would be a rubberstamp for Kamala to wage war on American energy, continue aiding and abetting an invasion on our border, and embolden our adversaries as the world is brought to the brink of World War III.”
A Harris administration would create a “California dream [that] is every American’s nightmare,” Leavitt said.
Americans will oppose the extreme views of the Harris-Walz ticket, Hughes predicted, choosing “to make American Great Again by electing President Trump!”
