Transportation Department learns it’s funding $54 million in woke grants — and ends them

By Mary Margaret Olohan | Daily Wire WASHINGTON—The Department of Transportation is terminating $54 million worth of recently-discovered “woke university grants,” The Daily Wire has learned, arguing that the grants advanced radical agendas that ran counter to the department’s mission. Seven schools received grants which Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy told The Daily Wire were advancing a “radical DEI and green agenda” that is wasteful and counter to the Trump administration’s priorities. The University of California, Davis’s National Center for Sustainable Transportation was receiving $12 million for “accelerating equitable decarbonization” research, according to the department, while City College of New York’s Center for Social and Economic Mobility for People and Communities...

Secretary Rubio: Alien Enemies Act exists to protect Americans, defend against Tren de Aragua and others

By Secretary of State Marco Rubio  | Fox News When the Founding Fathers drafted the Aliens Act of 1798, they intended it to act as an antibody against foreign armies, criminal networks, and individuals who sought to do America harm. They understood something we have forgotten. Every nation has not just a right to act in self-defense, but a duty to do so. When a nation neglects that duty, it risks becoming a haven for vile criminal elements from across the globe, and a battleground in other nation’s conflicts.  No nation is obligated to harbor foreign criminals from justice in their home nations, much less allow them to continue their crime spree right here in the United States. Until President Donald Trump invoked the Alien Enemies Act, that was what the United States ...

Colorado’s gray wave drives up costs, exposes policy gaps

By Thelma Grimes | Colorado Politics “The only reality in the world is that we are going to get older and we’re going to die.” Nobody can escape that reality, according to Christian Itin, a member of the Colorado Strategic Action Group on Aging. “I think we need to remind folks that this will happen to me,” he said. “It will happen to you. It’ll happen to your family. We can’t put our heads in the sand and hide from that reality.” In Colorado, the older population is growing fast, with ramifications for the major challenges the state already faces, notably housing, healthcare costs and workforce needs. It also affects student enrollment, which, in turn, means a direct impact on school financing.  Many have sounded the alarm over Colorado's graying population, saying thi...

In Nevada court Thursday election fraud findings were correlated to the fraud findings of Tina Peters

By Martel Maxim  | Joe Hoft.com In Nevada Court Today, Election Fraud Findings Were Correlated to the Fraud Findings of Tina Peters. Today wasn’t just another day in the Nevada Court System. The Election Manipulation case brought by Andy Thompson vs. the NV Secretary of State -( Case # A-24-906377-C ) continued this morning in downtown Las Vegas, and lasted for about an hour. At the heart of the matter is that the numbers just don’t add up from the 2024 Election, even though President Trump won there. Andy is also fighting hard to prevent destruction of the 2022 election results that will likely further substantiate all his findings. This isn’t a partisan issue, it’s an American issue. Without honest elections, America is a 4th world country. Because this is a pro-se ca...

Six Colorado Springs nightclubs under police investigation for years, public just finding out

The Denver Gazette Six nightclubs around Colorado Springs have been investigated for potential illegal activity since 2022, according to Colorado Springs police. Police said New Havana Bar and Grill off North Academy Boulevard, an unnamed after-hours club on Palmer Park Boulevard, and La Terraza on South Circle Drive were all shut down through the public nuisance process. Police said Babilonia Bar and Grill on East Platte Avenue, Nova Nightclub on South Nevada Avenue and El Huracán on South Academy Boulevard were evicted by their property owners. A Police Department spokesperson told The Gazette some of these clubs were licensed and some were unlicensed. The spokesperson said each of the locations had multiple calls for service, which started a police investigation an...

DOJ sues Colorado and Denver over sanctuary policies ‘tying hands of law enforcement’

By Heather Willard | Fox31 DENVER (KDVR) — The U.S. Department of Justice is suing the state of Colorado and the city of Denver for laws and statutes the federal government says are “sanctuary laws.” The federal government alleges in its lawsuit, filed in Colorado District Court on Friday, that the laws are designed to “interfere with and discriminate against the Federal Government’s enforcement of federal immigration law.” The lawsuit specifically mentions the troubled Aurora apartment complexes that went viral after a video showing armed men in a stairwell was first reported on by FOX31’s Vicente Arenas. The men in the video were later connected to Tren de Aragua, a Venezuelan gang that’s been publicized during recent immigration efforts under President Donald Trump. The laws...

Bowdey: June’s pride celebrations face a corporate retreat

By Suzanne Bowdey | Daily Signal , Commentary America is four weeks away from the LGBTQ movement’s biggest party, and companies are already RSVP’ing no. Thirty days out from Pride Month, the Left’s suffocating celebration of all things gay and trans, it’s obvious the cause’s long march through corporate America hasn’t just stalled, it’s in full-blown retreat. Just two years after Dylan Mulvaney’s catastrophic undoing of Bud Light, June’s over-the-top extremism—at least as a wholesale business concept—is dead. And taking plenty of influential mouthpieces with it. For most CEOs, it’s been a year of unprecedented realignment. Dozens of major brands are following up on their commitments to drop DEI and progressive political causes with news that they’ll no longer be spo...

Farage’s Reform UK beats out establishment parties in ‘earthquake’ elections

By Caitlin McFall  | Fox News The right-wing Reform UK Party saw a series of electoral wins early Friday after it secured parliamentary, mayoral and several local election seats in what leader Nigel Farage said is proof that Reform UK is "now the opposition party to this Labour government." Farage, who predicted earlier this year in an interview with Fox News Digital that there would be a "political revolution," said the centurylong, two-party system that has dominated British politics was "now dead" after both the liberal Labour Party and Conservative Party saw losses in a Thursday election.  Reform UK secured a fifth parliamentary seat after Sarah Pochin flipped the Runcorn & Helsby constituency, which is, according to Reform leaders, considered Labo...

Colorado Springs doctor ends teen’s exam after parents challenge gender identity question

By Emily Washburn | Daily Citizen Multi-state health conglomerate Common Spirit refused to serve a Colorado Springs family after parents objected to a doctor’s inappropriate and ideologically driven questions. Melissa and her husband, Carlos, are no strangers to the medical system’s disregard for parent’s rights. The devout Christian couple shuttled their four children to doctor’s appointments in several different states during Carlos’ more than 20-year military career. So, when thirteen-year-old Ricardo needed a physical to play football, the couple gave him a heads up. “I just asked, ‘Hey, if they ask you if they want us to leave the room, are you comfortable with that?’” Melissa explained. Years earlier, in Virginia, doctors had asked one of their daughters if s...

American Rights Alliance files amicus brief, backs Tina Peters’ habeas petition over political targeting

By yourNEWS | yournews.com Denver, CO — Former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters is seeking release from detention through a federal habeas corpus petition, alleging that her prosecution and incarceration violate federal law and her constitutional rights. The case, Tina Peters v. John Feyen and Philip J. Weiser, Civil Action No. 1:25-cv-00425-STV, is currently before U.S. District Court Judge Scott T. Varholak in the District of Colorado. Peters, convicted at the state level for actions taken while serving as the chief election official for Mesa County during the 2020 election, is now challenging the legitimacy of her prosecution. Her legal team argues that her actions were not only lawful but mandated by her duties under federal law to preserve election records. The America...
