In anti-Trump rant, Biden blurts out: ‘We gotta lock him up’

By Hailey Gomez | Daily Caller President Joe Biden said Tuesday at New Hampshire’s Democratic National Committee (DNC) office that the party needs to “lock up” former President Donald Trump, quickly adding he meant to “politically” lock him up. Since 2019, Democrats have been calling for Trump to be behind bars, flipping the script on their previous criticism of Republicans and the former president for calling for former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton to be locked up. While speaking to the DNC office in Concord, New Hampshire, Biden noted how close the race is becoming, claiming Trump believes he has immunity from “physically eliminating” threats. “All of it’s on a knife’s edge. It’s on a knife’s edge right now. So this is really, really, really, reall...

‘Release the memes’: Babylon Bee scores free speech win after Newsom tried to make parody illegal

By Leah Barkoukis | Town Hall Free speech advocates are celebrating after California agreed it would not enforce one of its new censorship laws targeting political satire and parody. The development comes less than a month after Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys, on behalf of The Babylon Bee and attorney Kelly Chang Rickert, sued the state over two new laws that aim to censor online content.  “All of it’s on a knife’s edge. It’s on a knife’s edge right now. So this is really, really, really, really important right now. Folks, look, think about it. He is talking about doing away with the entire Department of Education — he means it, this is not a joke. This [is] a guy who also wants to replace every civil servant, every single one,” Biden said. "Because one of ...

Harris rejects religious exemptions for abortion

By David Zimmermann  | National Review Vice President Kamala Harris said Tuesday night she would reject religious exemptions for abortion as president, effectively forcing health-care providers to perform the medical procedure in violation of their moral conscience. The Democratic presidential nominee has been adamant about passing a bill that would codify Roe v. Wade into law, despite the Supreme Court overturning that decision in 2022. In an interview with NBC News anchor Hallie Jackson, Harris indicated she would refuse to compromise with Republican lawmakers on the abortion legislation. “I don’t think we should be making concessions when we’re talking about a fundamental freedom to make decisions about your own body,” Harris said when asked if sh...

Gabe Evans’ ad attacks the laws Yadira Caraveo supported to ‘Defund the Police’

By BRIAN PORTER | Rocky Mountain Voice Inside the final two weeks before Election Day, Republican nominee Gabe Evans is launching an ad in the critical 8th District race for the U.S. House seat attacking his opponent's "Defund the Police" stance. “Far-left crime and drug policies spawned Colorado’s crime wave, and [Democrat] Yadira Caraveo voted for them all,” Evans said in a press statement. “From cashless bail, to sanctuary state policies, to decriminalizing fentanyl, Yadira Caraveo has been at the forefront of the ‘defund the police’ movement. When she co-sponsored and voted for Senate Bill 20-217, the defunding effect was so potent I personally witnessed drug interdiction units being downsized and plainclothes agents reassigned back to patrol, allowing cartels and international d...

Walcher: A new national sacrifice zone in effort to move beyond oil & gas?

By Greg Walcher | Commentary, Rocky Mountain Voice A couple years ago a little-noticed report called, “Beyond Carbon-Free: A Framework for Purpose-Led Renewable Energy Procurement and Development” was published by an energy company in Seattle, together with the Nature Conservancy and the National Audubon Society. It suggested that the goal of net-zero carbon emissions would require “massive areas of land for development,” perhaps “a footprint of 228,000 square miles – a land area greater than that of Wyoming and Colorado, combined.” With a gift for understatement, the authors wrote that “This tremendous need for land poses significant land-use challenges, and the potential for unintended consequences on both local communities and natural habitats.” Oh well, the report said, “In to...

Colorado is not a destination, report details, with only 0.9% moving to Colorado from other states

By Common Sense Institute The latest state-to-state migration flow statistics continue to show the state is no longer one of the top destinations in the nation. The most recent data from the U.S. Census demonstrates that in  the early 2020s, Colorado is gaining more people through international migration than domestic migration. The state is gaining only a fraction of the domestic migration it used to capture. Also of note, Colorado is gaining more people from migration than from births. Democrats fear race may be slipping away from Harris

By Amie Parnes  | The Hill There is growing fear in Democratic circles that the presidential race could be slipping further away from Vice President Harris. To be sure, Democrats still think Harris can defeat former President Trump. The margins are so close in the seven battleground states likely to decide the contest, a shift toward either candidate or a mistake in the polling could be decisive.  At the same time, Democrats are privately expressing worry that battleground polling appears to be moving in Trump’s direction over the last two weeks. Perry Park neighbors concerned over high radium levels in their drinking water in Colorado

By Olivia Young | CBS Colorado Neighbors in a Douglas County community are worried about the safety of their drinking water. It's happening in Perry Park, an unincorporated community west of Larkspur, which is home to natural red rock formations. The area's geology is naturally rich in minerals, including radium. Radium is a radioactive metal and has been linked to cancer. However, it is naturally occurring and the EPA allows small levels in drinking water. But a sample taken from Perry Park's water back in August was more than twice that limit. Perry Park neighbors are thirsty for answers, after receiving a notice in early October from the Perry Park Water and Sanitation District, stating that radium levels in their water are three to four times higher than normal.
