‘Just disgusting’: Coloradan describes flooded toilets, litter on Guanella Pass

By Maddie Rhodes | Fox 31 News For 25 years, a local woman has taken U.S. 285 to Guanella Pass to see the fall leaves, but this year, she said conditions are worse than they’ve ever been. Heather Vigil, a fourth-generation Coloradan, lives in the Fort Logan neighborhood in Denver. Vigil said that for years during the fall, she and her husband would take U.S. 285 to the mountains for autumn picnics and to enjoy the fall colors. They usually take the trip multiple times a year, however, this year’s drive was much different. Chris Schroll lives in Parker and was impacted. His service is back but he received an email from BAM Broadband that said in part: “We have been given more information from our upstream carrier regarding the damage and we wanted to share this with you. It has been reported that the cause of the outage was vandalism. One particular set of crimes involving two of the 10 Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang members arrested by Aurora police involved an entanglement of mostly 20-something Venezuelan immigrants in a what appeared to be a free-for-all turf war. By Stephanie Butzer | NBC 5 News More than two dozen organizations that represent agriculture and livestock producers in Colorado have filed a petition to delay future gray wolf reintroductions until depredations are addressed and mitigation tactics are fully implemented. The Colorado Cattlemen's Association, based in Lakewood, announced the petition, which is addressed to the CPW (Colorado Parks and Wildlife) Commission, on Monday. In addition to that association, the other petitioners include Middle Park Stockgrowers Association, Colorado Farm Bureau, Club 20, and Colorado Wool Growers Association.
