Dockworkers from Maine to Texas go on strike as US economy faces losses of billions per day

By The Post Millennial Early Tuesday morning, dockworkers at ports across the US began a strike over wages and automation that could cause supply shortages and increase inflation. According to the Associated Press, the contract between the International Longshoremen’s Association and 36 ports from Maine to Texas. The strike went forward despite reported progress in negotiations and is the first one by the union since 1977. The union opened negotiations with an offer for a 77 percent pay increase over the six-year contract. Israel Defense Forces (IDF) warned citizens to shelter in place and follow instructions from the Home Front Command as the Jewish State's Iron Dome anti-missile defense system works to intercept incoming rockets. "During the defense, we carried out quite a few interceptions," IDF spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said after the attack was over. Her mother worked in the harvest department at the time and encouraged Bautista and her brother to join her at Superior. The two siblings began the same day. James Comer (R-Kent.) has subpoenaed Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas about unspecified allegations of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) connections against Democrat Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.  In a letter accompanying the subpoena released on Thursday, Comer said the House Oversight and Accountability Committee received information from a whistleblower about “serious concern among Department of Homeland Security (DHS) personnel regarding a longstanding connection between” Tim Walz and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
