By Kurt Zindulka | Breitbart The suspected perpetrator of the Magdeburg Christmas market attack was reportedly an asylum seeker activist who was promoted by legacy media outlets, including the BBC. UPDATE 1700: Prosecutors have announced that the suspect has been charged with five counts of murder and 200 counts of attempted murder with dangerous bodily harm. They revealed that one of the slain victims was a nine year old child and that 41 people were seriously injured and, therefore, the death count may continue to rise, Welt reports. Johnson speakership hangs in balance as spending deal collapses

By Bradley Jaye| Breitbart Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) on Thursday faced the most serious threat to his position since 163 Democrats voted to save his gavel back in May. Johnson’s 1,547-page year-end spending deal, released Tuesday night after days of extended deadlines, fell apart in less than 24 hours as Republicans of all ideological stripes turned on the bill over its contents and Johnson’s mishandling of negotiations and the rollout. Conservatives, moderates, loyal rank-and-file Republicans, and even a committee chairman savaged the bill for giving far too much to Democrats. READ THE FULL STORY AT BREITBART

Spending bill subsidizes State Department’s conservative censorship slush fund

By Bradley Jaye | Breitbart The government funding bill includes a one-year extension of the State Department’s Global Engagement Center (GEC), an agency that funds organizations that censor conservative media including Breitbart News. The provision extending funding for the program is on page 139 of the 1,537-page continuing resolution, which was unveiled Tuesday night just hours before the House will vote on the short-term spending bill. The Washington Examiner’s Gabe Kaminsky posted on Twitter that the bill “includes a one-year extension on the State Department’s Global Engagement Center — the agency me and Matt Taibbi reported has funded speech suppression efforts and is being sued by the Federalist and Daily Wire.” READ THE FULL STORY AT BREITBART

Netanyahu testimony postponed; hostage deal, or Iran strike, imminent

By Joel B. Pollak | Breitbart Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was given special leave Monday to delay his testimony Tuesday in his trial because of special circumstances — leading to speculation about a strike on Iran, or a hostage deal with Hamas. Netanyahu has been testifying in his own defense in a trial whose central allegation is that he sought better media coverage from a hostile press. His testimony, thus far, has made the charges seem as spurious as critics suggested. However, on Monday the judge announced, after conferring privately with the lawyers for both sides, that the prime minister’s testimony Tuesday would be postponed — leading to speculation about what those circumstances might be. Chinese Balloon 2.0: Biden White House dismisses mystery drone sightings, suggests mistaken identity

By Lucas Nolan | Breitbart The Biden administration has dismissed the recent wave of drone sightings on the East Coast, suggesting that most reports are likely cases of mistaken identity involving legally-operating aircraft. The New York Post reports that the mysterious drone sightings that have been reported in New Jersey, New York, and surrounding areas over the past few weeks have left residents and local authorities puzzled and concerned. However, the White House has taken a different stance on the matter, with national security council spokesman John Kirby dismissing the reports during a briefing on Thursday. Kirby stated that federal investigators have been unable to verify any of the more than 3,000 reports of car-sized drones patrolling the night skies. He suggested that m...

Donald Trump rings NYSE Bell as he’s named TIME Magazine’s ‘Person of the Year’

By Simon Kent | Breitbart President-elect Donald Trump just can’t stop winning. On Thursday he rang the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange as he was confirmed TIME Magazine’s “Person of the Year” and was met by cheers and applause from the trading floor as well as cries of “USA… USA.” Trump was on Wall Street to mark the ceremonial start of the day’s trading in a gesture first performed by fellow Republican President Ronald Reagan back in the mid-1980s. Before he rang the opening bell at 9:30 a.m. Trump spoke at the exchange and called it “a tremendous honor.” READ THE FULL STORY AT BREITBART

How Pete Hegseth turned his Secretary of Defense confirmation fight around in 7 days

By Kristina Wong | Breitbart Just one week ago, Trump Defense Secretary nominee Pete Hegseth’s confirmation appeared doomed after a barrage of hit pieces. However, after launching an intense campaign to defend himself, he now appears to be on a path towards confirmation. By last Monday, things did not look so good. No fewer than four hit pieces had dropped, one after another, just as Hegseth began to meet with senators responsible for confirming him. They were all based on anonymous allegations, some ten years old, but the pile-up became too much to ignore. Republican senators began expressing doubts. On Tuesday, December 3, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) called the allegations “very disturbing.” READ THE FULL STORY AT BREITBART

DHS Chief Alejandro Mayorkas Announces Jobs Giveaway — for Migrants

By John Binder | Breitbart In the final weeks of President Joe Biden’s administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is announcing a jobs giveaway for newly arrived migrants with work permits. On Tuesday, Mayorkas announced a final rule from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) that will allow millions of migrants, many of whom have been released into the U.S. interior by the Biden administration, to keep their work permits for up to 540 days when they seek a renewal. Migrants previously could renew their work permits for 180 days. For years, Democratic mayors had lobbied DHS to extend such automatic employment authorization for migrants. The rule will go into effect on Jan. 13, 2025. READ THE FULL STORY AT BREITBAR...

FBI director Wray prepares to resign, does not want to be fired

By Wendell Husebo | Breitbart FBI Director Christopher Wray does not want to be fired and will resign before President-elect Donald Trump is sworn into office, sources inside the bureau who are familiar with the director’s thinking told the Washington Times. Trump, who originally hired Wray but grew dissatisfied with him after years of weaponizing the bureau, such as raiding Mar-a-Lago, recently nominated Kash Patel as a replacement. Wray is among President Joe Biden’s allies that Democrat and media supporters believe should receive a preemptive pardon. White House lawyers are studying pardons, reports indicate, which would appear to project an admission of guilt. READ THE FULL STORY AT BREITBART
