Trump signs executive order cracking down on ‘sanctuary’ cities, threatens their federal funding

By Diana Stancy , Michael Lee  | Fox News President Donald Trump signed an executive order Monday instructing the Justice Department and the Department of Homeland Security to create a list of all sanctuary cities failing to adhere to federal immigration laws, providing them a chance to abandon their sanctuary status.  The order comes as Trump seeks to speed up deportations, following through on a key promise he made on the campaign trail during his third bid for president. But so-called "sanctuary cities," or jurisdictions that limit the ability of local agencies to cooperate with federal immigration authorities, have restricted his ability to do so.  READ THE FULL STORY AT FOX NEWS

Amazon denies report that ‘tariff cost’ will be shown next to product prices

By Simon Kent | Breitbart The price of products Amazon Inc. displays in its online store may soon include the listed price and how much was added to the value due to President Donald Trump’s tariff impositions. Punchbowl News reported on Tuesday that, according to a source familiar with the matter, the e-commerce giant will start showing the figure added to the value because of the duties right alongside a product’s total price. The move is reportedly an effort by Amazon to inform customers cost rises have nothing to do with it and everything to do with the Trump White House. READ THE FULL STORY AT BREITBART

New ‘Urbanist Party’: Sanders, AOC, Hogg

By Paul Bedard | Washington Examiner With the Democratic Party continuing to splinter, progressives are building and expanding their base, especially in big cities and suburbs. As worn-out old bulls fight for power in Washington, the big population zones are opening their arms to the progressives led by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), and party Vice Chairman David Hogg in numbers so large and supportive that a pollster tracking the movement has given it a name. “Call it the ‘Urbanist Party,’” said Jeremy Zogby, the managing partner of John Zogby Strategies, which polled for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. during his 2024 populist bid. “I think it has legs,” he added. Upset with how Democratic leaders are fumbling their attacks on P...

FEMA cuts $32 million from Denver’s immigrant shelter grants under Trump directive

The Denver Gazette The Trump administration has terminated roughly $32 million in grant funding to Denver earmarked for the city's response to the illegal immigration crisis, saying such spending no longer aligns with the federal government's enforcement priorities.  "The Department, consistent with President Trump's direction, is focused on advancing the essential mission of enforcing immigration laws and securing the border," the letter from the Federal Emergency Management Agency said.  "Consequently, grant programs that support, or have the potential to support, illegal immigration through funding illegal activities or support for illegal aliens that is not consistent with DHS's enforcement focus do not effectuate the agency's current priorities," the agency said. "T...

The letter was sent by the Colorado State Shooting Association, which is the official state association of the National Rifle Association. The groups announced immediately after Gov. Jared Polis signed the bill into law that they would be filing a lawsuit against the measure. “We respectfully request that the Second Amendment Enforcement Task Force launch a thorough investigation into Colorado’s anti-Second Amendment agenda, focusing on the following,” the ...

Amuse: Susan Rice and the buried sabotage inside the federal bureaucracy

@Amuse | Commentary, via Substack I will admit, when I first read that Susan Rice was still ensconced on the Defense Policy Board well into the new Trump administration, I thought it must surely be fake news, some hallucination conjured by an overactive internet rumor mill. Yet, with the bitter taste of disbelief still fresh, the facts became clear. Not only had she lingered, she had lingered officially, and with all the institutional imprimatur the position carries. It is the sort of stunning oversight that shakes one's faith in the assumption that elections carry consequences. Rice, a veteran of Obama-era foreign policy failures and perhaps best remembered for her calculatedly deceptive Sunday show performances following the Benghazi disaster, was somehow still whispering couns...
