‘Stunning security failure’: U.S. agents miss Venezuelan gang tattoos in scan for refugee approvals

By  Stephen Dinan | Washington Times The Department of Homeland Security greenlighted refugee applications for Venezuelan gang members after immigration officers failed to spot their gang tattoos, The Washington Times has learned. Kevin Grigsby, head of refugee operations at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, said several members of the vicious Tren de Aragua gang were approved and made it to the U.S. border before a different agency spotted the tattoos and blocked them from entering. Experts said tattoos are a standard indicator of gang membership and expressed shock that USCIS was missing those red flags. Concerns have been heightened about TDA, whose members have been linked to a series of high-profile crimes. READ THE FULL STORY AT THE WASHINGTON TIME...

Migrant crisis cost $150B in 2023, forcing some areas to cut police and fire services: report

By Isabel Vincent | New York Post The eye-watering financial cost of the migrant crisis hit $150 billion last year and is causing devastating consequences for residents of hard-hit cities struggling to cope with the influx, The Post has learned. Of that figure, calculated by Washington DC-based non-profit Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), $67 billion came from the federal government, but the majority of the burden was shouldered by states and local governments. Chart showing where FEMA Shelter and Services funds were allocated in fiscal year 2024, which ran from Oct. 1, 2023 until Sept. 30. READ THE FULL STORY AT THE NEW YORK POST

Existing home sales fall to 14-year low as home affordability crisis squeezes American families

By John Carney | Breitbart Home sales fell to the lowest level in 14 years, as high home prices, inflation-depleted savings, still-elevated mortgage rates, and election uncertainty kept buyers on the sidelines Sales of existing homes—which make up most real estate transactions in the U.S.—fell by one percent to an annual rate of 3.84 million in September, the National Association of Realtors said Wednesday. Economists had forecast a stronger 3.9 million sales figure for the month. Sales fell by about 2.5 percent in the prior month. READ THE FULL STORY AT BREITBART

Ex-girlfriend comes forward to accuse Doug Emhoff of domestic violence

By John Nolte | Breitbart An ex-girlfriend of America’s Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, has come forward to accuse the man who hopes to be history’s first First Gentleman of physically assaulting her in 2012. Speaking exclusively to the Daily Mail, the woman, who is remaining anonymous for obvious reasons (we’ve all seen what the corporate media and Democrats do to women whose accusations — no matter how credible — threaten the left’s hold on power), says she decided to come forward for two reasons. The first is that Emhoff, though a spokesman, denied he hit her. The second, per the Daily Mail, is that “his alleged hypocrisy by claiming to be a feminist in media interviews, finally became too much for her.” “What’s frightening for a woman that’s been on the ...

New report reveals massive number of illegal immigrants benefiting from Biden-Harris admin’s ‘quiet amnesty’

By Adam Shaw | Fox News Nearly 1 million illegal immigrants are staying in the U.S. "indefinitely" after their cases were dismissed or closed, or the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) failed to file the necessary documentation, according to a new House Judiciary Committee report being released on Thursday. "Through administrative maneuvering at both the Justice Department and DHS, the Biden-Harris Administration has already ensured that nearly 1 million illegal aliens can remain in the United States without the possibility of deportation—and that trend shows no sign of stopping," the report by the House majority on the committee, first obtained by Fox News Digital, says. When illegal immigrants are encountered, they can be put into removal proceedings by which they w...

Poll aggregators show Trump leading in battleground states, up big in “no toss up” map projection

By BRIAN PORTER | Rocky Mountain Voice With a dozen days remaining until Election Day, the race for the White House between former President Donald Trump, a Republican, and Vice President Kamala Harris, a Democrat, could not be closer, according to three poll aggregators. Harris holds a 0.2% edge in the national average at Real Clear Politics, but that is where the good news ends for her campaign. In the top battleground states of Arizona, Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Georgia, Trump is leading the polls and overall has a 0.9% lead in top battleground states, Real Clear Politics projects. Real Clear Politics presently gives Trump a four-point Electoral College edge, 219-215, with nine states placed into "toss up" category for an additional 104 Elect...

Kamala Harris greatly exaggerated prosecutorial record during district attorney campaign

By James Lynch | National Review Vice President Kamala Harris exaggerated her trial experience when she first ran for San Francisco district attorney just over two decades ago, greatly overstating the number of felony cases she prosecuted in order to bolster her image as the tough-but-fair prosecutor San Franciscans needed to set the city straight. Harris’s overstatements about her prosecutorial record, central to her pitch as a candidate who would clean up inner-city crime, became a point of attack throughout the campaign from opponents who questioned her level of experience. “As Deputy District Attorney in Alameda County from 1990 to 1998, Kamala prosecuted hundreds of serious and violent felonies, including homicide, rape and child sexual assault cases,” Harris’s campaign bio s...

Could illegal immigration sway elections in swing states?

By Unleash Prosperity Our friend Jon Sutz has reported in his “Fact Check” blog that illegal immigration numbers have roughly quadrupled in the seven swing states under Biden. Funny how that was allowed to happen. As we’ve noted in previous HOTLINE issues, if even a small fraction of these non-citizens cast ballots in the razor-tight races in these battleground states, it could decide who the next president is. Makes you wonder why liberals are so opposed to requiring proof of citizenship for voter registration. READ THE FULL STORY AT UNLEASH PROSPERITY

Biden-Harris admin shipping migrants to Arizona and Texas to hide border problem before Election Day: ‘It’s about optics’

By Jennie Taer | New York Post With just two weeks until the presidential election, the Biden-Harris administration is working overtime to hide its illegal migrant problem from the public’s view, furious Border Patrol agents say. ICE has been ordered to speed up deportations. And Border Patrol agents are busing and flying migrants from San Diego — where arrivals are still double what they were when President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris took office, Homeland Security sources told The Post. They’re being sent to border towns in Texas and Arizona, which have far fewer migrants. READ THE FULL STORY AT THE NEW YORK POST
