Barnhart: Abortion doesn’t belong in Colorado’s Constitution

By Faye Barnhart | Guest Columnist Colorado has one of the most extreme laws in the world. It allows children to be poisoned, scalded, stabbed, starved, dismembered or otherwise inhumanely killed by any means from all nine months of pregnancy up to the point of birth. To call these “procedures” to end the life of a living human being “healthcare” would be laughable were it not so barbaric and tragic. Right now, Colorado allows the killing of children any time during the pregnancy.  And now, extremists want to put an amendment on the Colorado ballot requiring health insurance and taxpayer funds to pay for these practices and to be added to the Colorado Constitution as a “right”. Rep. Boebert’s bill delisting gray wolf from endangered list advances out of U.S. House

By BRIAN PORTER | Rocky Mountain Voice U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert has delivered on one of the first promises she made to her potential new U.S. House district. In various debates in the 4th District, Boebert has noted the depredation by the gray wolf in Colorado, and had pledged to pursue a bill in Congress which would remove the gray wolf from the endangered species list. There are an estimated 13,000 gray wolves in the United States and another 30,000 in Canada. She authored House Resolution 764, titled the "Trust the Science Act", to remove protections the gray wolf enjoys while depredating livestock and other animals in Colorado. By BRIAN PORTER | Rocky Mountain Voice A bill led by Eastern Colorado legislators will declare a Women Veterans Appreciation Day, if signed into law by Gov. Jared Polis. House Bill 1236 cleared the Senate State, Veterans and Military Affairs Committee without objection last week and Monday earned unanimous support of the Colorado Senate. "There's a lot of reasons why we need to celebrate women veterans," said Sen. Byron Pelton, a co-prime sponsor of the legislation in the Colorado Senate. "Being a veteran myself, I know the difference of treatment of myself and those I served with that happen to be female." The bill establishes June 12 as Women Veterans Appreciation Day in Colorado. Richard Holtorf told Grant Stinchfield during a recent appearance on Real America's Voice. The top place on the ballot is generally viewed by candidates to be best, but the major parties won't hold the spot. Secretary of State Jena Griswold's office explains a random lottery drawing was held Wednesday, April 24, to determine the order of candidates on the ballot, as required by state law for vacancy elections.
