Four House Republicans block effort to censure Ilhan Omar over Charlie Kirk comments

By Elizabeth Elkind | Fox News House lawmakers voted to table the resolution before they could weigh the measure itself The House of Representatives voted along bipartisan lines on Wednesday to table a resolution to censure Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., over comments about Charlie Kirk. Four House Republicans voted with Democrats to table the legislation, effectively blocking it from receiving its own House-wide vote. A vote to table is a procedural mechanism allowing House members to vote against consideration of a bill without having to vote on the bill itself. The measure was blocked in a narrow 214 to 213 vote. The four Republicans who voted to table the measure are Reps. Mike Flood, R-Neb., Tom McClintock, R-Calif., Jeff Hurd, R-Colo., and Cory Mills, R-Fla. McClintock...

Loveland Family Outraged After Charlie Kirk Memorial Burned

By Shaul Turner | KDVR Fox31 LOVELAND, Colo. (KDVR) – A Loveland family is speaking out after the burning of their memorial to Turning Point USA CEO Charlie Kirk, who was shot and killed on Sept. 10, during an event at Utah Valley University. The incident happened Saturday evening. In addition to the memorial being burned, the back window of the family’s SUV was smashed as five children slept inside the home. On Tuesday, the Loveland Police Department reported that they had arrested a suspect, David Hunt Gilroy, 64, who faces second-degree arson and resisting arrest charges in connection with the incident. “It’s a sign like are you kidding me, for a man that was wrongfully shot,” the father told FOX31. The Loveland family interviewed with FOX31, but asked not to be identifie...

ABC Drops Jimmy Kimmel After Cruel Joke About Charlie Kirk

By Rob Bluey | Commentary, The Daily Signal Jimmy Kimmel is off the air. Good riddance. The vile and disgusting ABC late-night host used his Monday night monologue to make this comment about Charlie Kirk’s assassin (emphasis added): “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.” Yes, you read that correctly. And to make matters worse, Kimmel then proceeded to play a video mocking President Donald Trump and suggesting that he wasn’t grieving over Kirk’s death. This is apparently the sad and pathetic state of late-night comedy in 2025. It’s no wonder Americans are turning off has-been comedi...

Faith under fire: Grief, risk—and the legacy Charlie left behind

By Jen Schumann | Commentary, Rocky Mountain Voice Grief is an ember. Handled well, it can light a thousand torches. Pastor Chris Goble put it plainly—Charlie “died because he was willing to do things that we weren’t”—then pictured that spark rising into a bonfire of new voices. The scene in Orem set the tone, the flight to Phoenix confirmed it—and the work ahead now belongs to those willing to carry the heat without burning out. The cost of courage For Heidi Ganahl, the loss feels like “a gaping hole” in the conservative movement. “Freedom can be dangerous,” she said. “And it took a dear friend’s life.” Goble anchored that grief in scripture, drawing parallels to the early church. “We live in a spiritual cosmic war,” he said. “We have to expect both real and spiritual bulle...

Charlie Kirk is on the ballot in 2026, as he should be.

By Tim O’Brien | Commentary, PJ Media The Charlie Kirk assassination upended a lot of the common tenets of politics, not to mention the unsaid rules of a civil society. Not too long ago, it was universally considered taboo to celebrate the death of anyone, yet thanks to social media and the Left, we’ve all seen people we know, people who teach our children and treat our health, dance and sing and celebrate a murder. The vast majority of Americans, usually silent at times like this, are feeling a percolating rage build up. Many everyday Americans have decided to channel this energy by reporting the online murder celebrants to their employers, leading to many getting fired. This is unprecedented, and it’s just the beginning.  Conservatives don’t riot in the streets an...

Suspect arrested after burning Charlie Kirk tribute in Northern Colorado

By Jennifer McRae | CBS News Police in Northern Colorado have arrested a suspect accused of burning a tribute to Charlie Kirk after Kirk's killing last week. Loveland police and fire officials investigated it as arson, according to the Loveland Police Department.  Police said the memorial was burned just before midnight on Saturday in the 200 block of East 23rd Street. A cloth sign draped over a resident's fence on that street read "RIP Charlie Kirk, we stand with you." In addition to the sign being burned, a rock was thrown through the rear windshield of a vehicle parked at the home, Loveland police said. Loveland police announced on Tuesday morning that David Hunter Gilroy had been arrested on Monday night. Police said, "The investigation remains active, and we wi...

Colorado mourns Charlie Kirk with vigil on Sept. 18–same day he was to speak at CSU

By Jen Schumann | Rocky Mountain Voice This story was updated to include the list of CSU vigil speakers and highlights from their reflections on Charlie Kirk. Instead of a speech by Charlie Kirk at CSU, a vigil will be held in his honor. At 5:30 pm on Thursday, Sept. 18, a student-led gathering will begin at CSU’s Canvas Stadium. The stadium can seat 36,000 and is located at 751 W Pitkin St., Fort Collins. CSU says it worked with organizers to move activities into secure campus venues and will use its clear-bag rule and magnetometers at entry. The university also notes these are externally organized events and not CSU-endorsed. Campus will operate as usual and parking will be tight. Planning ahead is recommended. Firearms are not permitted on college campuses under state l...

‘Arctic Frost,’ FBI probe into Trump swept up Charlie Kirk’s TPUSA, Grassley points to DOJ weaponization

By Ashley Oliver | Fox News Senate Judiciary chairman releases new documents showing scope of 2022 election-related probe Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, revealed Tuesday that the FBI's election-related investigation into President Donald Trump, launched in 2022, swept in dozens of Republican entities, including the late Charlie Kirk's Turning Point USA. Speaking during a hearing focused on oversight of the FBI, Grassley said the investigation, which the bureau called "Arctic Frost," was partisan in nature and that its expansive scope was evidence of that. "In other words, Arctic Frost wasn't just a case to politically investigate Trump," Grassley said. "It was a vehicle by which partisan FBI agents and Department of Justice prosecutors could ac...

The counts against Tyler James Robinson include aggravated murder charges, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, two obstruction of justice counts, two witness tampering charges, and violent offense committed in the presence of a child, said Utah County Attorney Jeffrey S. Gray in a news conference with dozens of reporters at the Utah County Health & Justice Building in Provo, Utah. “The murder of Charlie Kirk is an American tragedy,” Gray said, expressing his...

Endorsing Violence Is Not Protected Speech and Employers Know It

By Jordan Boyd | Commentary, The Federalist Celebrating the brutal murder of a civilian lacks morals and requires far more accountability than mere ‘cancel culture’ can afford. As if Americans’ trust in corporate media weren’t eroded enough, Axios set out to further destroy what’s left of it by suggesting that firing the people who cheered on Charlie Kirk’s assassination is of the same magnitude as school shootings and other acts of violence. The egregious comparison, which made its debut in Mike Allen’s AM newsletter, suggests that the tens of thousands of people who were caught cheering and mocking Kirk’s murder didn’t deserve the “unprecedented online hunt … to name, shame and contact” their employers that ensued. Axios is not alone in pretending that statements such as ...
