Devotion: Truth is the language to restore greatness

By DRAKE HUNTER | Commentary, Rocky Mountain Voice I vividly recall the day I sat in a large Bible class at a church my wife and I visited during a sabbatical from the church I pastor. The question arose: "What language does God speak?" As a visitor, I chose discretion and remained silent. Answers flew across the room, ranging from Hebrew and Greek to "Tongues." Then, with a dramatic pause, someone across the room exclaimed, “What does the Pastor say?!” All eyes turned on me, and in a meek but firm manner, I responded, “TRUTH.” Truth, in its purest form, is what “IS.” It aligns with reality, free from distorted perceptions, presumptions, and perspectives (Proverbs 29:18). It's a reliable guide for making sound decisions. As Christians, truth should be our highest value. Proverbs 2...

York: Biden’s big Dirty Harry ‘make my day’ bluff was called by Trump

By Byron York | Washington Examiner BIDEN’S BIG BLUFF. Until a week ago, President Joe Biden seemingly had the age issue under control. Yes, he had senior moments, some of which were quite severe, such as the episode at the White House Juneteenth concert in which he weirdly froze for two minutes, silent, eyes fixed straight ahead, body absolutely motionless. But commentary on such moments was mostly confined to a few news outlets. Much of the White House press corps seemed to accept the Biden press handlers’ explanation that the stories were “cheap fakes” created by Republicans to hurt the president politically. It’s hard to understand why any observant reporter would accept such an explanation, but some did. Everyone knew that polls showed large majorities of vot...

Yoffe: Something is wrong with Joe Biden. It’s time for him to be assessed by doctors who will tell the truth.

By Emily Yoffe | The Free Press It is time for Joe Biden, the president of the United States, to submit to a medical assessment performed by a group of independent doctors, doctors who are given carte blanche to release their findings. After Biden’s alarming performance at last week’s presidential debate, his stumbling over words, his inability to form a coherent argument, his slack jaw and blank stare, it became undeniable that something drastic had happened to the 81-year-old leader of the free world. It is time for the public to know what is wrong—and what isn’t wrong—with him. Instead of taking medically necessary action, Biden’s White House and campaign staff are floating their own diagnoses. The president suffered from a new malady now known as One Bad Night synd...

Estes: When Washington spends, you’re on the hook. You deserve to know for how much.

By Rep. Ron Estes | The Daily Signal Maybe you’ve heard that our national debt has topped $34.7 trillion. But what does that really mean for you and your family? The number is somewhat incomprehensible. To spell it out, that’s thirty-four trillion, seven hundred and twenty-five billion, eight hundred and fifty million, three hundred and twenty-three thousand, six hundred and eight dollars. That number is 14 digits long, and it grows by about $100,000 every second. If our national debt were printed in one-dollar bills, you could make 10 stacks of bills from the earth to the moon. If our national debt were in seconds, it would equate to 1,095,641 years. According to the National Geophysical Data Center, there are just over 321 million cubic miles of water in all of the Earth’s oc...

Boyd: Hunter wants his dad in power because the Presidency profits and protects the Bidens

By JORDAN BOYD | The Federalist Hunter Biden desperately wants his father to stay in the 2024 presidential race — but not for the reasons the corporate media suggest. Shortly after President Joe Biden’s disastrous debate performance, The New York Times was quick to amplify the entire Biden family’s support for their suddenly scrutinized patriarch’s 2024 presidential run. “One of the strongest voices imploring Mr. Biden to resist pressure to drop out was his son Hunter Biden, whom the president has long leaned on for advice, said one of the people informed about the discussions, who, like others, spoke on condition of anonymity to share internal deliberations,” the Times wrote. The outlet framed Hunter’s concern for his dad’s political future at a recent Camp Davi...

West: Are we the champions?

By Allen West | TownHall.com Greetings, y'all, I am still on cloud nine after my alma mater, the Tennessee Volunteers, won the College World Series and completed a record-setting 60-win season. It has been a while since we had a national championship on Rocky Top. I remember when the Vols won the first BCS college football championship against Florida State in Tempe, Arizona. I was stationed at Ft. Bragg (yeah, that’s what it is) and ran out into a cold North Carolina evening to scream. The topic of this missive is a play on the words from the song by the rock band Queen, “We Are the Champions.” We all know the words to that song and the refrain. “We are the champions, my friend, And we'll keep on fighting 'til the end. We are the champions, we are the champions, No tim...

Cooper: The media doesn’t do their job, so you must to get real election answers

By BOB COOPER | Guest Columnist, Rocky Mountain Voice Polling shows more than 55% of voters believe the voting system in the United States is problematic: a huge concern for a republic. What is fueling this? Elected officials who openly crush any form of transparency and block investigations, and a news media that does not question or investigate anything related to election claims.   Across the country, we see and hear a repeated theme of “gold standard” elections, yet elected officials controlling voting systems provide evidence to the contrary.  Did you know verifying election systems is not the role of law enforcement, but of citizens?  Elected officials and election officers should insist on transparency in all cases and commit to providing citizens with c...

Harsanyi: Biden just put on most disastrous debate performance in Presidential history

By DAVID HARSANYI | The Federalist Sure, it might sound like hyperbole, but I can’t think of a more devastating presidential debate performance than the one Joe Biden had in his first meeting with Donald Trump. Indeed, even with abnormally low expectations, Biden tripped over them as if they were sandbags. After watching post-debate reaction, it’s safe to say no modern presidential debate has ever rattled a political party quite like this one. The scratchy and frail voice. The speedy mumbling — it was like watching a TV at 2x speed. The overall incoherence. The confused and angry stares. The jumbling of thoughts —“I was recently in, in, in, um, France for D-Day, and I spoke to — all about those heroes that died …” and so on — was relentless. It was difficult to wa...

Devotional: Where did God come from?

By Drake Hunter | Contributing Commentator, Rocky Mountain Voice Have you ever found yourself captivated by God's existence? It's a question that has intrigued and perplexed many, regardless of their religious beliefs. Let's momentarily set aside religious texts and embark on a journey of contemplation. Whether you are a devout believer, a skeptic, or somewhere in between, I invite you to delve into a fresh perspective on this timeless question. Imagine this – a serene drive through the Fort Morgan, Colorado, cemetery, with my curious granddaughter Lilly in the backseat. At this moment, she asked, "Papa, where did God come from?" This poignant question led me to a thought-provoking insight I hold dear – a perspective inspired by Dr. Kent Hovind in my journey of love, faith, and ho...

Kittle: Which Joe Biden will show up to debate Trump?

By M.D. KITTLE | The Federalist It’s debate day. Insanely early (the contestants have yet to be nominated), but debate day nonetheless.  It’s Rocky versus Apollo. The rematch. Or more like Rocky versus Mickey — if Rocky’s elderly trainer had been reduced to a senile stooge in the throes of dementia, better suited for an assisted living facility than the boxing ring. But we’ve been told ad nauseam by President Joe Biden’s handlers and his corporate media public-relations firm that the Democrat is ready for the rhetorical fight with a bare-knuckle brawler. After all, young Joe Biden once went toe to toe with a Delaware gang leader. Corn Pop was a “bad dude,” Biden told us. A bad dude with a blade. But he backed down upon seeing Joe armed with ...
