Democrat critics of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on the big pharma, healthcare dole for millions of dollars

By Sean Moran | Breitbart During Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s confirmation hearing on Wednesday, Senate Democrats criticized the healthcare nominee for chasing money and influence, while they have received millions of dollars from the healthcare industry. Sen. Ron Wyden said that Kennedy, who Trump nominated to be his Health and Human Services Department Secretary, is “someone who chases money and influence wherever they lead, even if that may mean the tragic death of children and other vulnerable people.” Although Wyden attacked Kennedy for allegedly chasing “money and influence,” it appears that Wyden has raised significant sums from the healthcare industry, which has a vested stake in the potential confirmation of Kennedy. Los Angeles fire budget cut, hundreds of hydrants stolen for scrap before fires

By Kenneth Schrupp  | The Center Sqaure via The Daily Signal Hundreds of fire hydrants were stolen from the ground for scrap metal in advance of the blazes raging across Los Angeles, highlighting the local government’s challenges in maintaining basic order and infrastructure.  “These fire hydrant thefts are yet another sign of how crime is out of control in Los Angeles County,” said Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman to The Center Square before his November election. “Thieves know they’ll face little or no consequences if they are caught, so they’re willing to risk the public’s safety for a small profit.” Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, who has been away on a taxpayer-funded trip to Africa as a member of a Biden administration delegation, rec...

Exhausted Democrats plan muted resistance for Trump’s inauguration

By Emily Hallas | Washington Examiner Democrats are prepared to protest President-elect Donald Trump in Washington, D.C., ahead of and during his inauguration on Jan. 20, although their opposition is muted compared to the reactions when he took office in 2017.  The Left’s lackluster resistance comes as it has grappled with how to respond to Trump’s reelection, with Molly Murphy, a pollster for Vice President Kamala Harris’s failed presidential campaign, telling Democratic National Committee members last month that “the 2025 playbook cannot be the 2017 playbook.” READ THE FULL STORY AT THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER

Emmons: Dems mad they ‘got killed in alternative media’ as they seek to replicate TPUSA, Daily Wire

By Libby Emmons, Commentary | The Post Millennial Democrats are unhappy about their electoral loss and they're still trying to figure out how it happened. They have blamed voters, pollsters, Joe Biden, each other, and now they have decided that their lack of alternative media in the parallel economy model of the right is to blame. "We got killed in alternative media," said Stuart Perelmuter in a new article out from The New York Times. Perelmuter has been "contemplating" some kind of alternative Dem influencer group. "Republicans have been investing in that space for years. And on the left we have treated creators who are not in legacy media as gig workers." Perelmuter is one of many left-wing progressive influencers who complained to The Times that the Democrats are...

Democratic National Committee set to elect new leader following Trump’s inauguration

By Mariane Angela | Daily Caller The Democratic National Committee (DNC) will elect its new chair and other key officers on Feb. 1 at the party’s winter meeting in National Harbor, Md. Members of the DNC are preparing to appoint a new leadership team. The roles to be filled include chair, vice chairs, treasurer, secretary and national finance chair, according to a DNC press release. Current DNC Chair Jamie Harrison will not seek a second term and announced that the DNC will host four forums for the chair candidates. These forums, both in-person and virtual, will allow the 448 voting DNC members to engage with the candidates, focusing on the members’ questions and concerns, the press release added. Harrison said he and the DNC staff will remain neutral and avoid endorsements or cam...

Democrat wouldn’t support eliminating the filibuster now that GOP has Senate

By Ashe Schow | Daily Wire A House Democrat says she would have supported eliminating the filibuster if Democrats had control of the White House, Senate, and House, but she doesn’t support it now that Republicans have won all three levers of power. Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), chair of the Progressive Caucus, was speaking at a press conference on Monday about the 2024 election results when she was asked about her previous support for ending the filibuster. “Am I championing getting rid of the filibuster now when the Senate has the trifecta? No,” she said, referring to Republicans taking back control of the White House and Senate and likely maintaining control of the House. READ THE FULL STORY AT THE DAILY WIRE

Democrats paid $430,000 to firm linked to Pennsylvania voter fraud investigations

By Gabe Kaminsky | Washington Examiner Democratic political campaigns have paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to a consulting firm facing investigations in Pennsylvania counties for allegedly submitting fraudulent voter registration forms, federal records show. The district attorney of Monroe County, Pennsylvania, Mike Mancuso, said in a statement last week that a subsidiary of a firm in Arizona called FieldCorps was responsible for submitting 30 forms with fraudulent details, including on behalf of a dead resident. And in York, another county in the Keystone State, officials are looking into suspicious forms they say were submitted by FieldCorps on behalf of the Everybody Votes Campaign, a group tied to the Washington, D.C.-based Arabella Advisors dark money n...

Mitchell: Why do Democrats flip-flop on men in women’s sports, ‘transgender’ procedures?

By Elizabeth Troutman Mitchell | Commentary, Daily Signal Democrats are scrambling to downplay their radical positions on men playing as “transgender” women in women’s sports and so-called transgender medical procedures for children ahead of an election where polls show most voters hold commonsense views on these issues. Left-wing candidates must walk a fine line between maintaining the flow of hundreds of thousands of dollars they get from pro-transgender groups like the Human Rights Campaign and winning the support of the majority of voters who believe men are men and women are women. Nearly three-quarters (72%) of registered voters think biological males should not be allowed to participate in women’s and girls sports, according to national pollin...

Democrats fear race may be slipping away from Harris

By Amie Parnes  | The Hill There is growing fear in Democratic circles that the presidential race could be slipping further away from Vice President Harris. To be sure, Democrats still think Harris can defeat former President Trump. The margins are so close in the seven battleground states likely to decide the contest, a shift toward either candidate or a mistake in the polling could be decisive.  At the same time, Democrats are privately expressing worry that battleground polling appears to be moving in Trump’s direction over the last two weeks. Dems, corporate media rushed to cite FBI data showing crime decrease — experts say the numbers are flawed

By Wallace White | Daily Caller The FBI quietly revised its 2022 data to reflect an increase in crime after initially reporting it had decreased, and experts say that the flawed figures are just the tip of the iceberg. It was initially reported that violent crime decreased by 2.1% in 2022, but the Bureau suddenly revised that figure, revealing that violent crime increased by 4.5% instead. Experts told the Daily Caller News Foundation that the FBI’s metrics are plagued with problems, such as incomplete data collection, confusion about reporting standards, the omission of unreported crime as well as the inherent problems of measuring crime nationally. Democrats, corporate media outlets and political pundits have routinely cited the FBI’s data to claim that crime has gone down under ...
