It is illegal for noncitizens to vote in federal elections. Clayton County resident Melanie Pickett is a Bahamian native but has lived in the Peach State for approximately 30 years. The U.S. Election Assistance Commission, a four-member federal panel, will review a petition started by watchdog group America First Legal to add the requirement on the federal voter registration form.
