Davidson: We need to take a wrecking ball to the DOJ. Matt Gaetz is just the man for the job

By John Daniel Davidson, Commentary | The Federalist Gaetz isn’t ‘unqualified’ to lead the Justice Department. As a victim of the DOJ, he might be the best person to reform it. The collective pearl-clutching by the corporate press and Washington establishment on Wednesday after Trump announced he’d chosen Matt Gaetz to be his attorney general was something to behold. The swamp consensus is that the former Florida congressman is “unqualified” to lead the Justice Department. Never mind that the people making this claim are themselves deeply unqualified to hold their own positions of power. (Consider Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski, who dismissed Gaetz as not a “serious” pick. Murkowski is poster-child for unserious and unqualified Beltway drones. She failed the bar exam f...

Speaker Johnson orders entire Biden team to preserve and retain records, documents

By Matthew Boyle | Breitbart House Speaker Mike Johnson on Tuesday ordered the entire administration of President Joe Biden to preserve all records and communications in the waning days of the outgoing Democrat administration as former President Donald Trump’s team prepares to take over. Johnson, Breitbart News has learned exclusively, has sent letters to all 18 federal Departments ordering them to retain and preserve documents. This could become an explosive storyline if outgoing Biden administration officials attempt to delete or destroy documents that shed light on some of the radical policies they pursued or scandals with regard to censorship or other major storylines of the past four years, such as the deadly withdrawal from Afghanistan or the wide open border. If anyone is caug...

Biden-Harris place taxpayers on hook for $38.7M annually for DEI at DHS

By Robert Schmad | Daily Caller The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) spends tens of millions of dollars annually on diversity-related expenses, according to a new report from the watchdog group Open The Books. American taxpayers foot a bill of roughly $38.7 million every year to employ 297 staffers conducting diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) work at HHS, with 247 of those federal employees making over $100,000 a year, according to government records analyzed by Open The Books. On top of that, HHS spends $29.4 million per year to keep 209 workers on payroll for its Office of Minority Health, which exists to “improve the health of racial and ethnic minority populations through the development of health policies and programs that will help eliminate health disparities....

FEMA official fired for directing hurricane relief away from Trump supporters’ homes

By Michael Dorgan , Sarah Rumpf-Whitten  | Fox News A Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) official who instructed Hurricane Milton relief workers to skip homes with Trump signs has been fired from her role, a FEMA spokesperson tells Fox News, while Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is investigating the federal agency over the controversy.  The FEMA official, who has not been named by the agency, instructed workers canvassing Lake Placid in Florida to "avoid homes advertising Trump," as they ascertained what residents could qualify for federal aid, according to internal messages first obtained by the Daily Wire.  The Daily Wire reports that government employees told the outlet that at least 20 homes with Trump signs or flags were bypassed from the end of Oct...

It’s time to hold Griswold accountable

By Heidi Ganahl, Commentary | Rocky Mountain Voice In a troubling development, Colorado’s Secretary of State recently confirmed that critical election system passwords were inadvertently published online, leaving sensitive data exposed for months. This exposure, according to conservative leaders, highlights severe security concerns and a failure of transparency from the Secretary’s office, prompting calls for accountability and an independent investigation. The released passwords, typically reserved for only a small circle of trusted state employees, were accessible to a much broader audience, including county clerks, certain county employees, and third-party vendors. These passwords, particularly for the Basic Input/Output System (BIOS), provide access to fundamental system settings...

Caldara: Colorado Press Association rewards secretive government

By Jon Caldera, Commentary | Complete Colorado What’s worse: people in political power shielding their activity from public oversight or the media celebrating them for doing so? Fortunately, in Colorado we don’t have to choose. We get both! The Colorado Press Association (CPA) has bestowed its “Defender of Free Press” award to the very same legislators who earlier this year passed a law to keep the press, and citizens, out of their meetings. Yes, these grand defenders of the Fourth Estate voted to exempt themselves from the Colorado Open Meetings Law so we can’t see what they’re doing — definitely award-worthy.
