DHS reports 2 million illegal alien deportations from U.S. since January

By: John Binder | Breitbart The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced that two million illegal aliens have either been deported or self-deported from the United States since President Donald Trump took office on January 20. According to DHS officials, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents are on pace to deport almost 600,000 illegal aliens by the end of Trump’s first year in his second term. Broken down more specifically, DHS officials say an estimated 1.6 million illegal aliens have self-deported from the U.S., while ICE agents have deported more than 400,000 illegal aliens. Altogether, DHS officials say two million illegal aliens have been deported in fewer than 250 days. “The numbers don’t lie: Two million illegal aliens have been removed or self-depo...

Operation Midway Blitz launched in Chicago to tackle crime crisis

By M.D. Kittle | The Federalist DHS says the new effort is in honor of Katie Abraham, who was killed in a hit-and-run car crash earlier this year. A lot of things about Jan. 19, 2025, haunt Joe Abraham’s dreams. But one fact in particular about the way in which his 20-year-old daughter, Katie, was senselessly killed that day in a hit-and run crash keeps him up at night.  “They didn’t just kill Katie. They killed Katie’s kids, Katie’s kids’ kids. Her legacy is no longer there. She has been stopped,” Abraham, of Glenview, Ill., told The Federalist in an interview Monday evening.  You just can’t get past that,” the grieving father added. “Not only did she get a death sentence and we all got a life sentence, but her whole chain has been broken. And the silence [from Illin...

Public safety or politics? Mesa County sues Polis over sanctuary crackdown

By Jason Hopkins | Daily Caller One of Colorado’s biggest counties is taking on the state’s “unconstitutional” sanctuary law after it was used to crack down on a sheriff’s deputy who helped federal immigration authorities. The Board of Mesa County Commissioners is moving forward with its lawsuit against a Democrat-led sanctuary law that prohibits local law enforcement in Colorado from sharing personal information about a foreign national with federal immigration authorities, the Daily Caller News Foundation confirmed. The lawsuit was filed after state officials sued a Mesa County sheriff’s deputy for helping Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and effectively forced him out of the job. “The Constitution makes clear that immigration is a federal responsibility, not something ...

Deportations won’t stop the damage: Calls grow to rethink visas, welfare and assimilation

By Breccan F. Thies | Commentary, The Federalist Importing culturally foreign, economically dependent people is destroying the American way of life. WASHINGTON, D.C. — Illegal immigration might be the single strongest issue holding the conservative movement together right now. Everyone wants illegals gone, and no one cares if the migrants have committed other crimes or not — this is about the restoration of American culture for Americans to enjoy. National Conservatism (NatCon) had its fifth annual conference in Washington, D.C., this week, where speakers addressed a variety of issues like where the right should be headed on things like gay “marriage,” what America’s relationship with Israel should look like, the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement, education, and...

Trump-era border policies slash cartel profits by over $1 billion

By Virginia Allen | The Daily Signal https://youtu.be/Z8d60Vm728o?feature=shared EL PASO, Texas—Since the start of 2025, border security measures have cost the Mexican cartels more than $1 billion, according to estimates by the El Paso Sector of the Border Patrol in Texas. “We’re hurting them in the pocketbook,” interim Border Patrol Chief for the El Paso Sector Walter Slosar tells The Daily Signal.   In recent years, Slosar says he can recall days when as many as 2,700 illegal aliens were arriving at the border daily, but now, Border Patrol is encountering about 40 illegal aliens a day in the El Paso Sector, which includes the two westernmost counties in Texas—Hudspeth and El Paso—and all of New Mexico.    The criminal cartels control much of the ...

Fired for telling the truth: Whistleblower reveals driver’s license racket in Kentucky

New York Post A driver’s licensing office in Kentucky is in hot water after a whistleblower revealed a staggering inside scheme to issue drivers licenses and permits to illegal immigrants without them taking a test or going through a Homeland Security background check.According to a whistleblower complaint filed in April, two employees at one of the offices allegedly pocketed cash from undocumented drivers in exchange for a license by outfitting them with fake documents like birth certificates and social security cards. The scheme only started to unravel when a clerk at the center, Melissa Moorman, was approached by one of the employees to join in on the quote on quote “business venture,” which was charging undocumented drivers $200 a pop. The special session leaves Polis with a $783M deficit — here’s how he can fix it without new taxes

By Russ Minary | Guest Commentary, Rocky Mountain Voice Governor Polis recently called—and lawmakers have now concluded—a special session aimed at addressing the estimated State budget deficit of $1.2 to 1.6 BILLION. That means that every man, woman and child in CO has to pay $208 more this year. That’s in addition to all of the other current local, county, state, sales and special district taxes they are already paying. But kids don’t pay taxes; adults do. I think CO taxpayers and citizens already pay enough in taxes. While lawmakers passed roughly $300 million in tax changes during the session, the ball is now in Gov. Polis’ court. He has been given authority to sign the bills and make deep spending cuts, up to $300 million, to close the remaining $783 million gap. Rather than a...

Colorado absorbed 43,000 illegal immigrants in 2 years as taxpayers foot the bill

By Warner Todd Huston | Breitbart Colorado gained 43,000 illegal aliens in just two years, a report revealed. The estimated number of illegal aliens living in Colorado jumped from 160,000 in 2021 to more than 200,000 by 2023, according to the latest report by Pew Research Center. The largest number of those illegals ended up in and around Denver, the paper reported. The number has jumped even more in the years covered by the Pew report, according to the Denver News Gazette. The paper noted that city officials pegged the number of illegals entering Denver at 43,000, of which about 20,000 have remained living in the city. The Gazette also claimed that the influx of illegals has cost the taxpayers of the city of Denver at least $100 million. The D...

Police in Sanctuary City Defy Mayor Join ICE to Enforce Law

By Jack Davis | The Western Journal Many Boston police officers are defying Democratic Mayor Michelle Wu’s stance against Immigration and Customs Enforcement by secretly assisting federal authorities with critical intel. Acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Todd Lyons told radio host Howie Carr about this crucial cooperation on Wednesday. “We have so many men and women of the Boston Police Department and other jurisdictions that are so pro-ICE, that want to work with us, and that are actually helping us behind the scenes,” he said. Lyons promised to target similar sanctuary cities with federal agents in order to get America’s immigration crisis under control. “We’re definitely going to, as you’ve heard the saying, f...

Polis says Colorado isn’t a sanctuary state but the laws say otherwise

By The Gazette editorial board | Commentary, The Gazette Gov. Jared Polis has distinguished himself in business and politics, yet he arguably missed his true calling — doing stand-up at a comedy club. He’d leave his audience in stitches. Case in point: His thigh-slapper the other day — about Colorado not being a sanctuary state. He had us rolling on the floor. We were laughing through our tears, of course, given the toll illegal immigration has taken here. But there’s no denying the governor is a hoot. He is in fact such a natural-born comic, his familiar, “Sanctuary? What sanctuary?” routine is uproarious even when delivered secondhand by his communications staff. “Colorado is not a sanctuary state,” Polis’ office deadpanned in a news release Thursday for our news affiliate Co...
