The party condemned Rivera after he was arrested during a Larimer County Sheriff's Office operation targeting child predators. The sheriff's office said dozens of people responded to online listings posing as minors selling sexual acts, and Rivera and Ismaaeel Abdur-Rahmaan were arrested when they arrived at the agreed upon location. Jeffco Schools Superintendent Steps Down After Five Years

By Christa Swanson | CBS Colorado Colorado's second-largest school district needs a new superintendent. Jefferson County Schools Superintendent Tracy Dorland announced her resignation on Friday. Dorland has been on the job for five years. She began her position in April 2021 after serving as Chief Academic Officer for Adams 12 Five Star Schools. In May 2025, the Jefferson County Education Association announced a "no confidence" vote against Dorland, stating there was a "disconnect between the central administration and the educators, families and communities we serve." Denver Audit Questions Spending On Alcohol And Meals For Taxpayer Supported Nonprofit

By Shaul Turner | KDVR FOX31 DENVER (KDVR) —  A Denver addiction and mental health foundation spent thousands of taxpayers’ money on alcohol and food, according to a city audit. The city and county of Denver tells FOX31 the nonprofit Caring For Denver Foundation issued funds to organizations that submitted falsified and misleading information. The foundation refutes the claims but is now making some changes. Arrest Made After Explosions Damage High Line Canal Trail Near Denver

By Austen Erblat | CBS Colorado An 18-year-old Colorado man has been arrested and now faces multiple charges related to recent explosions that damaged the High Line Canal Trail near Denver. The man, who was not identified by police, is accused of setting off multiple homemade explosive devices along the canal, mostly between October and December. Cherry Hills Village Police, however, said they observed a suspicious person on the trail through police cameras on Jan. 6. The suspect who was described by police in a public alert in December was seen riding a "higher wattage" e-bike with a dark frame, wide tires, and handlebar mittens, and the department said the person they saw on Jan. 6 had "clothing and mode of transportation" that matched previous descriptions...
