Denver’s 2028 Convention Bid Advances as Democrats Narrow Field to Three Cities

By Mike Catalini | The Colorado Sun A final decision is expected to be made later this year by party leaders. Democrats on Thursday narrowed the list of potential host cities for their 2028 presidential convention to Boston, Denver and Philadelphia as their party looks ahead to a wide-open primary to succeed President Donald Trump. Democratic National Committee Chairman Ken Martin said in a statement the cities put forward “incredibly strong bids,” and he promised the convention would be an “inspiring celebration of our party’s future nominee.” Denver Mayor Mike Johnston celebrated the news. “We are honored that Denver has advanced as one of the top three candidates to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention,” he said in a writt...

Karoline Leavitt Steps Down As Press Secretary To Put Family First

By Brittany Miller | Fox News Trump said Leavitt will remain a top outside advisor and an influential voice in the Republican Party. President Donald Trump announced that White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt will leave her role at the end of the month to spend more time with her family. Leavitt confirmed her departure in a lengthy post on X, saying she made the "bittersweet decision" after concluding she could not balance the demands of serving as press secretary with being the mother she wants to be to her two young children. "Serving as the White House Press Secretary over the past year and a half has been the honor and adventure of a lifetime," Leavitt wrote. Leavitt thanked Trump for giving her the opportunity to work in ...

Socialist Backed Candidates Continue to Build Momentum in 2026

By: Newt Gingrich | Gingrich 360 The recent surge in endorsements by the Democratic Socialists of America for various electoral races — congressional, state, and local — is cause for concern. This year, the Democratic Socialists of America has endorsed 29 candidates for the House of Representatives. Of these, 11 have been defeated in their primaries, seven have won, and 11 are still awaiting their primaries. The importance of these endorsements lies in the positions held by some of these candidates. Here are a few examples of the candidates and their viewpoints: Melat Kiros, a former attorney, defeated 30-year incumbent Democratic Rep. Diana DeGette for Colorado’s 1st Congressional District. Endorsed by both the DSA, Denver DSA, and U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, Kir...

Democratic Socialism Is Communism With Better Branding

By: Cheryl K. Chumley | Commentary, The Washington Times A Reuters/Ipsos poll released Tuesday found 47% of Americans say they don’t understand what it means to be a democratic socialist. Meanwhile, a Washington Post/Ipsos poll released a few days earlier found 39% of U.S. adults would consider voting for a democratic socialist for president. For the sake of the low-information voter — and by the looks of recent polling, there are quite a few of them — let’s clarify that democratic socialism is one and the same as socialism. Moreover, socialism is one and the same as communism. And since today’s Democrat Party has ceded its political power to the democratic socialist crowd, and the Democratic Socialists of America influences, then it’s clear a vo...

House Panel Subpoenas China-Linked Nonprofits Over Foreign Influence Questions

By Ashe Short | Just the News The latest subpoenas raise the question of whether U.S. tax law — which grants tax exemptions and shields charitable donor identities — can be used to route foreign money into domestic political activity. At the heart of it, questions abound whether the far-left outfits have violated the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith, R-Mo., has issued subpoenas to three tax-exempt organizations tied to socialist megadonor Neville Roy Singham, an American multimillionaire living in Shanghai with ties to the Chinese Communist Party. The subpoenas have been served, a spokesperson for Smith’s office told Just the News, on BreakThrough News, Tricontinental and The People’s Forum, all thr...

Trump Takes Mail-In Voting Dispute to Supreme Court Before Midterms

By Greg Otto | CYBERSCOOP In a Monday filing, the Justice Department said states sued before agencies even decided how the order would work. The Trump administration asked the Supreme Court on Monday to let it enforce an executive order that would restrict mail-in voting, after a federal appeals court kept the order blocked in nearly half the states just months before the November midterm elections. Solicitor General D. John Sauer told the justices that a Massachusetts federal judge acted too soon when she struck down key parts of the order, which blocked federal agencies from carrying it out in 23 states and the District of Columbia. Sauer said the order only directs agencies to study changes and has not yet produced a final rule, so no state has suffered harm. ...

The Democratic Socialists of America is a far-left organization that appeals to the struggle of the working class while pushing far-left candidates. The organization has recently unveiled a new platform that would destroy the American system and radically remake it. Michigan Senator Draws Fire Over SAVE Act Comments On Election Integrity

By: M.D. Kittle | Commentary, The Federalist Michigan Dem Sen. Elissa Slotkin said the SAVE America Act would make it ‘hard for any Democrat in any state to win an election.’ Leftist Sen. Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., has lost a lot of weight in recent months. She hasn’t gained any integrity.  At a town hall with constituents, the Michigan Democrat said the quit part out loud, explaining why her party opposes the Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, also known as the SAVE America Act. The legislative package would require documentary proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote in federal elections and photo identification to cast a ballot, and it would demand states clean up their dirty voter rolls. As The Federalist has reported, the ...

Maine Democrat Graham Platner Ends Senate Bid After Mounting Controversies

By Nolan D. McCaskill, Richard Cowan and Daniel Trotta | The Daily Signal Democrat Senate candidate Graham Platner of Maine on Wednesday promised to formally withdraw from the race, after a string of controversies including an accusation of sexual assault plunged one of the most competitive races in the 2026 midterm elections into turmoil. The suspension by the former U.S. Marine, announced in a video posted on social media, is likely to complicate Democrats’ efforts to win control of the Senate in the Nov. 3 elections. Republicans currently hold a 53-47 majority. In the recorded video, Platner repeated his denial of the sexual assault accusation and said the effort to remove him from the ballot was fueled by his effectivene...
