Charlie Kirk a Model of Faith and Courage in Public Life

By Isabel Brown | Commentary, The Daily Wire It’s not an exaggeration to say I owe everything to Charlie. Words will never be able to convey how devastated we are that Charlie Kirk was taken from us far too soon. I had the honor and privilege of not just knowing Charlie professionally as a fellow warrior in the conservative movement, but as a close friend and my most influential mentor for the past eight years. All of you know Charlie for what you saw on social media and television — a fierce fighter with strong convictions who deeply loved our country and fearlessly advocated for his vision for a stronger future. I spent a lot of time with this Charlie — speaking on college campuses and facing the crowds of protesters with a smile on our faces, staying up into all hours of the...

JD Vance Credits Charlie Kirk for Pivotal Role in His Political Journey

By Jack Davis | Western Journal The man is gone, but the fire he lit still burns. So wrote Vice President J.D. Vance in a post on X as he reached back into his years of friendship with conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was gunned down in Utah on Wednesday while trying to pass on the fire of conservatism to a new generation. Vance initially offered a prayer when news of Kirk’s death broke, writing on X, “Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord.” Later, he reflected on the long journey he made from the edges of politics to its core, walking with Kirk every step of the way. “A while ago, probably in 2017, I appeared on Tucker Carlson’s Fox show to talk about God knows what. Afterwards a name I barely knew sent me a DM on twitter and told me I did a great job. It was Charlie Ki...

Students Nationwide Wear Coats and Ties to Honor Charlie Kirk

By Randy DeSoto | Commentary, Western Journal Outkick founder Clay Travis and businessman Kyle Matthews posted separately on social media that all the boys at their children’s schools were wearing suits Thursday in honor of Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk. Kirk was assassinated at Utah Valley University while he was engaging in a question-and-answer session with students at a TPUSA event. Travis, who lives in Nashville, Tennessee, posted on X, “My two oldest sons wore coats & ties to school today — something they normally hate to do — today in honor of Charlie Kirk. The entire school is doing it. I’m not sure most people realize, even yet, how much he connected with young boys & young men & how crushed these kids are.” https://twitter.com/ClayTravis/statu...

From Oregon to Boulder – The early fights that shaped Charlie Kirk

By Jen Schumann | Rocky Mountain Voice Some leaders visit a place. Charlie Kirk kept coming back. Heidi Ganahl saw it up close. “Charlie always saw hope in Colorado… he never gave up on Colorado. He always came here,” she said. “He was one of the only ones that really stood strong with me when I was getting so vilified in the governor’s race… a great mentor and teacher to me.” From her vantage point as a CU Regent and a candidate, his loyalty was unmistakable. But his roots with Colorado’s conservative movement stretch back even further, to one of the first college students he ever backed: Heidi’s daughter Tori. Early days in Ducks country The first spark came in 2016 after a chance introduction. Tori recalls that her grandpa sat next to Charlie at an Leadership of the Rocki...

The Courage of a Calling

By Bobbie Daniel | Guest Commentary, Rocky Mountain Voice Twelve years ago, I made my first trip to Washington, D.C. I was expecting my third child at the time, and as I walked through the memorials, the words carved in stone seemed to speak directly to me. At the Jefferson Memorial, I knew I wasn’t alone. At the Lincoln Memorial, I sensed the weight of a calling I couldn’t yet name.  Their words reached across centuries with clarity and conviction, and I remember thinking: people don’t talk like this anymore. Yet something in my soul stirred. God was preparing me, though I didn’t yet know for what. In scripture, the callings of ordinary people are always marked by courage. Moses had to confront Pharaoh with only a staff in his hand. Esther risked her life to plead for her pe...

Charlie Kirk’s Legacy of Faith, Courage and Conviction

By Bradley Devlin | Commentary, The Daily Signal “The more a society drifts away from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it.” Charlie James Kirk knew the cost of telling the truth. On Wednesday, Sept. 10, at 4:40 p.m., President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that the “Legendary” Kirk, the conservative activist and Turning Point USA co-founder, was assassinated during a speaking event at Utah Valley University. In this world, he leaves behind his wife, Erika, and their two children. Every day, his son and daughter will wake up without their father; every day Erika will wake up without her husband; and every day, they will wake up in a better country because of him. As will I. I first met Charlie at a Turning...
