The result of Kamala Harris selecting Tim Walz as her running mate is a drifting of the Democratic Party further left, Rep. Lauren Boebert said Tuesday in a series of posts on Twitter/X.
“It’s now truly MAGA vs Marxism,” she tweeted in one post. “I know what side I’m on!”
Boebert defeated a dozen opponents in her 4th District Republican Party primary election for U.S. representative, positioning as the most conservative choice in the final field of six, which she defeated across the board by about 30%. She held the endorsement of Donald J. Trump. She never shied from her conservative positions. She doesn’t on Twitter/X, either.
“It’s pretty obvious that the Democrat[ic] Party has now fully morphed into the Hamas Party,” she wrote. “The pick was [Gov. Josh] Shapiro.”
When the pick was leaked by the Philadelphia mayor, Boebert said, “the Hamas wing of the party couldn’t stomach a Jewish man on the ticket, so Kamala bent the knee and went with Walz. How could any Jewish-American vote for this ticket?”
Her first post on Tuesday was a retweet of a post with 1.1 million views shared by conservative talk show host Dana Loesch, comparing the appearance of Walz to Boss Hogg [Sorrell Booke] of Dukes of Hazzard fame.
Boebert followed to define where Walz would fit in the political spectrum and with the ticket: “If [Sen.] Bernie Sanders were a governor, he’d be Tim Walz.” She added in another post: “Kamala Harris put an avowed socialist on her ticket.”
The congresswoman closed Monday on her page making the case for a second Donald J. Trump presidency: “The failed economy you’re seeing right now is Kamala Harris’ economy. Unemployment is at the highest it’s been in three years, wage growth is at the lowest it’s been in three years, and the economy is in the early signs of a recession. Don’t be fooled into voting for four more years of these flawed policies. We can’t afford them!”
Boebert also said, “The Harris Honeymoon is officially over.”
