By BRIAN PORTER | Rocky Mountain Voice Moments into former President Donald J. Trump's campaign rally in Butler, Penn., Saturday, Mr. Trump was apparently struck by gunfire. He went to the ground behind the podium from where he was speaking, and when he rose Mr. Trump had blood on his face and seeming to come from the top of his ear. U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert, one of his strongest allies and who holds Mr. Trump's endorsement for re-election, called it evil on Twitter moments later. President Trump rushed away following assassination attempt at Butler, Penn., rally

By BRIAN PORTER | Rocky Mountain Voice The sound of multiple gunshots rang out Saturday at former President Donald Trump’s rally in Butler, Penn., split seconds before he seemed to reach for his right ear and went to the ground behind the podium from which Mr. Trump was speaking. He was quickly surrounded by numerous Secret Service agents. As Mr. Trump asked the crowd if he could go "off-script", he presented a chart of border crossing data and the sound of gunfire could be heard on the broadcast. When the Secret Service allowed him up to be rushed to a vehicle, Mr. Trump appeared to have blood on his face and from the ear, but no other noticeable injury. Ah, grasshopper. They are everywhere in Colorado this year.

By Dillon Thomas | CBS Colorado Coloradans across the Front Range, especially in Northern Colorado, have noticed significantly more grasshoppers this year. Researchers with Colorado State University confirm there has been a spike in grasshoppers across the state. "Colorado is seeing a very large number of grasshoppers, we have been getting reports from all around the state," said Lisa Mason, horticulture specialist and entomologist for CSU. Mason told CBS News Colorado's Dillon Thomas the grasshoppers we are seeing right now are the result of eggs buried in the dirt by grasshoppers in 2023 which were able to hatch as the result of a relatively warm and dry winter and spring. Inhofe served as the Tulsa mayor, in the House from 1987-1994 and in the Senate from 1994-2023, making him the longest-serving U.S. senator from Oklahoma. According to reports, Inhofe had a sudden, unexpected illness over the holiday and died at 4:48am Tuesday morning with his wife Kay holding his hand. The 6-3 ruling wasn’t ideologically divided, with Justices Amy Coney Barrett and Ketanji Brown Jackson switching wings of the court to join colleagues in their respective decisions. Colorado Libertarians ask national committee to decertify Presidential ticket

By BRIAN PORTER | Rocky Mountain Voice In addition to the Colorado Libertarian Party deciding not to pursue placing the national party's presidential ticket on the ballot in Colorado, it will seek to have the national party decertify the ticket, an email to party membership presumedly from Chairwoman Hannah Goodman reads. The email was received from the Colorado Libertarian Party with the state party's heading.
