What happened to JonBenét Ramsey? New documentary set to premiere this month

By Samantha Jarpe | Fox 31 News On Dec. 26, 1996, JonBenét Ramsey was reported missing from her home in Boulder. The family of the beauty pageant star had called the police about a ransom note that was left in their home. The 6-year-old was later found dead in the basement of the home. Her death was ruled a homicide by strangulation. Anecdotally, for a lot of new parents of kids younger than six, before they go to school, paying for childcare is like taking out a second mortgage. Many believe it’s the cost of childcare that causes the biggest problems, but the Common Sense Institute ran the numbers and found many counties in Colorado are in a childcare desert. CPW unanimously adopts new Eastern Colorado mountain lion management plan

By Heather Willard | Fox 31 News The 10-year plan to manage mountain lions east of the Continental Divide was adopted unanimously by the 10 Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission members last week. Gov. Polis submits state budget suggesting millions go to education, safety

By Maddie Rhodes | Fox 31 News Colorado Gov. Jared Polis submitted the proposed state budget for 2025 to 2026, which suggests putting millions into education and safety. Every year, the governor, elected officials and state agencies submit annual budget requests to the legislature to fund specific state services. This can include health care, human services, education and Colorado roads. In April, Polis signed the 2024-25 state budget with measures that fully funded Colorado schools, created investments into public safety and created new housing. F-16 Fighting Falcons to fly over Denver metro communities on Veterans Day

By Heather Willard | Fox 31 News The Colorado Air National Guard’s F-16 Fighting Falcons will honor American veterans with flyovers on Nov. 11 for Veterans Day. The flyovers are a traditional gesture that the Colorado Air National Guard observes on patriotic holidays, which the federal agency said shows the dedication and support that guardsmen provide, in addition to showcasing the U.S. Air Force’s military strength.
