Incoming Trump ‘border czar’ has a message for Aurora chief of police after arrest of suspected gang members

By Ashley Carnahan  | Fox News Incoming Trump "border czar" Tom Homan called on the Aurora chief of police to hand suspected Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang members over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents so they can be removed from the country. The Aurora Police Department arrested 14 suspected TdA gang members in a home invasion Tuesday at an apartment complex that was at the center of a viral video over the summer. Aurora Police Department Chief Todd Chamberlain provided an update on the arrests at The Edge at Lowry Apartments, saying the incident was "without question a gang incident." This university wants to use AI to boost China’s military — OpenAI keeps hiring its graduates

By Robert Schmad | Washington Examiner In 2018, a prestigious Chinese university announced to the world that it intended to harness the power of artificial intelligence to bolster China’s military. Since then, America’s top AI company has hired dozens of its graduates. Tsinghua University has gone all in on pursuing AI research and development for China’s People’s Liberation Army. You Zheng, one of the university’s vice presidents, went as far as to declare the institution’s enthusiastic involvement in the Chinese Communist Party’s “military-civil fusion” strategy.  “In accordance with the central government’s requirements, Tsinghua University has closely integrated the national strategy of military-civilian integration with the strategy of building a strong c...

By James Lynch | National Review A New York grand jury has indicted the suspected assassin of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson on charges of murder as an “act of terrorism” for the cold-blooded killing, Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg (D) announced Tuesday. The grand jury charged 26-year-old Luigi Mangione with first-degree murder in furtherance of terrorism and two counts of second-degree murder, including one count for killing in the act of terrorism. Mangione is also facing an assortment of weapon possession charges and one count of carrying a forged document for the point-blank assassination of Thompson outside a Midtown Manhattan hotel earlier this month. “We allege that Luigi Mangione carried out the brazen, targeted and fatal shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Bria...

Three Russia hoax bombshells hidden in IG report on DOJ surveillance of Congress

By Mollie Hemingway | The Federalist These revelations show why the DOJ needs massive reform in the next administration. Last week the Department of Justice’s inspector general  released a report on some of the DOJ’s tracking of communications from media and congressional figures as part of its purported investigation into who was leaking classified information against President Donald Trump in 2017. Three significant bombshells about the Russia collusion hoax were hidden inside the dense and dry 100-page report. For context, when Trump won the 2016 presidential election, anonymous Democrat operatives in the federal government and Congress began leaking like sieves as part of a coordinated effort to paint Trump as a mastermind spy who had worked with Russian President Vladimir Put...

City hall meeting erupts into chaos as residents protest ‘migrant invasion,’ mayor calls in police to clear them out

By Harold Hutchison | Daily Caller Democratic Mayor Brandon Johnson of Chicago called police to clear out city residents after a public forum during a Monday city council meeting became chaotic when attendees protested budget changes that would allocate more funding for illegal immigrants. The Chicago city council voted to pass a budget proposed by Johnson after six weeks of negotiations only after police removed the vocal residents during a temporary recess, Fox News reported. Residents ripped city officials for seeking a $40 million loan as part of the city budget.  “He wants to pull a $40 million line of credit and put the city in even more debt,” one city resident said during a public comment period. “It’s your fault, because you gave half of the money to illegals.” READ TH...

Trump meets with TikTok CEO at Mar-a-Lago as ban on app looms

By David Krayden | The Post Millennial TikTok CEO Shou Chew met with Trump at Mar-a-Lago on Monday, a person familiar with the meeting told CNN, as the company seeks the intervention of the Supreme Court in its battle with the federal government. On Dec. 6 the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit upheld the federal government’s ban on TikTok over concerns with national security. To avoid the ban of the app, Chinese company ByteDance is required to divest from the social media platform. The Trump-Chew meeting is reportedly the first time the two have talked in person since Trump won the presidency on Nov. 5. Chew has reportedly been hoping to land some time with the President-elect, who has been meeting with other big tech executives at Mat-a-Lago. ...

‘We cannot live in a world with a nuclear Iran,’ newly-elected Rep. Evans says on Middle East

By Marc Rod | Jewish Insider Rep.-elect Gabe Evans (R-CO), a Colorado state House member and Army veteran, is set to bring personal experience as a service member in the Middle East, under fire from Iranian rockets, to Capitol Hill in January. Evans, as a helicopter pilot in the Colorado Army National Guard, operated in nine countries in the Middle East in support of the Afghanistan war — though he never personally deployed inside the country. He told Jewish Insider in a recent interview that working with U.S. partners and allies in the Middle East was a key element of his time in the region, as was working to prevent Iranian-backed terrorism and destabilization and maintain stability and governance in the midst of the Arab Spring. Having personally come under attack from Ira...

The U.S. Census Bureau is adding refugees to its immigrant count

By MIKE SCHNEIDER | Fox 21 News, via the Associated Press The U.S. Census Bureau is changing how it counts immigrants in annual estimates by including more people who were admitted for humanitarian, and often temporary, reasons. The change is being made in an effort to better reflect population shifts this decade, officials said Monday. Population estimates, including immigration, are due to be released Thursday showing how the populations of the United States and the 50 states changed this year. However, the new approach to counting immigrants will only be reflected nationally. The percentage of U.S. residents who were foreign born rose to its highest level in more than a century in 2023. It could be even higher under the new methodology. Census Bureau officials wouldn’t say Mond...

In race to push a landmark water bill through Congress, Colorado is one state in the way

By Shannon Mullane | The Colorado Sun Tribal nations, Arizona and over 30 other stakeholders have just days to get a historic water rights settlement through Congress, and they’ll have to get past pushback from Upper Basin states, including Colorado, to do it. The Northeastern Arizona Indian Water Rights Settlement Act would secure safe, reliable water for thousands of Navajo, Hopi and San Juan Southern Paiute tribal members in northeastern Arizona. It would give the San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe a reservation. It would resolve water rights disputes, and potentially set up new funding streams for tribes. If successful, it would conclude about 60 years of work, advocates say. But some Congressional representatives have balked at the price tag: $5 billion. State officials...

Proliferation of ‘legal and lawful’ drones just the ‘new normal,’ Biden Admin says

By Jamie McIntyre | Washington Examiner ‘IT’S A BRAND-NEW ECOSYSTEM’: In a teleconference with reporters and an appearance on Fox News, John Kirby, White House national security communications adviser, is telling skeptical Americans — including lawmakers and even President-elect Donald Trump — that what they see in the sky is simply an anodyne sign of the times. “We’re in a new ecosystem regarding unmanned aircraft in this country. Again, all legal and lawful and doing the right thing for the public good, but it’s a brand-new ecosystem,” Kirby told a questioning Fox News anchor Bret Baier. “We’ve done the detection, then the analysis. We’ve corroborated the sightings. And in every case that we have examined to date, we have seen nothing, nothing that indicates a p...
