Hillman: For Trump to win, he must be disciplined

By Mark Hillman | Commentary, MarkHillman.com In a close election, everything matters.  Just ask Hillary Clinton about taking Wisconsin and Michigan for granted in 2016. This election looks like another close one because some voters will enthusiastically vote for Donald Trump or Kamala Harris, but many others will again be voting against the candidate they dislike most. Based on recent polling, Trump has a base support of about 42%.  He can likely count on those voters no matter what.  Biden’s lowest numbers were similar, so Harris probably starts in the same or slightly better position depending on how long her media honeymoon lasts.  Support for third-party candidates has collapsed to 5% or less. A mere 10% of voters appear truly undecided.  If they v...

Kilpper: From vasectomy vans to hotties for Harris, The DNC was truly a freak show

By Gage Kilpper, Commentary | Daily Caller Throughout the Democratic National Convention, Democrats made a big show out of being “normal,” of standing for “freedom” and traditional, patriotic values. They did their best, but of course it is all a lie; there’s nothing normal about them. Allow me to guide you through the Democrats’ wondrous world of human freaks and oddities. But first, we must get inside! Careful, this is a dangerous path. Stay alert as we wade through the crowds of unwashed protesters — rabid, the lot of them. Feast your eyes on a veritable buffet of causes. Do you want to see the destruction of Israel? Care to donate to Hamas? Perhaps trans rights are more your speed. Or, think bigger: the true idealists here want global intifada or worldwide communist revolut...

Barone: The college graduates’ party’s candidate doesn’t know economic history

By Michael Barone, Commentary | Town Hall Learning isn't necessarily cumulative. Human experience over the centuries provides lessons, some clearer than others. But each generation has to learn lessons anew, and some do not. The lessons about economic growth taught over the long run of history are clear. Growth is not inevitable, and while riches may be accumulated, or appropriated, by the few in high positions, the lives of the very large majority throughout the centuries have been nasty, brutish and short. The exception, the Great Enrichment, began some three centuries ago, around the North Sea, in the Dutch Republic and England, according to economic historian Deirdre McCloskey, in societies when people began respecting and encouraging commerce, rather than resenting and scorni...

RFK Jr.’s possible alliance with Trump threatens to muddy election

By Hanna Trudo and Julia Mueller | The Hill The growing possibility that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. could drop out and endorse former President Trump is injecting further chaos into an already unpredictable moment in the election. Kennedy’s allies emphasize that nothing is final yet, and members of his team are in disagreement over how to move forward. But the two campaigns have been negotiating this week, The Hill has learned, with one scenario having Kennedy drop out as early as Friday and back the former president. READ MORE ON THE HILL
Dana Bash characterized Democrats as an estrogen-fueled movement uncomfortable with traditional respect for masculinity.

Dana Bash characterized Democrats as an estrogen-fueled movement uncomfortable with traditional respect for masculinity.

By Tristian Justice | The Federalist Despite the Kamala Harris presidential campaign’s desperate appeal to white male voters with camouflage trucker hats, CNN’s Dana Bash characterized Democrats as an estrogen-fueled political movement uncomfortable with traditional traits of masculinity. Doug Emhoff and Vice-Presidential nominee Tim Walz, Bash said Thursday at the Democratic National Convention (DNC), represent the party’s effort to “put forward male figures” who “can speak to men out there who might not be the testosterone-laden, gun-toting type of guy who wants to listen to Hulk Hogan.” “In addition,” Bash said, the party’s representation of masculinity intends to send the message that “it’s okay in 2024 to be a man comfortable in his own skin who supports a woman.” ...

Vivek Ramaswamy swarmed by anti-Israel protesters — and ‘Crackhead Barney’ — just blocks from DNC

By Josh Christensen | New York Post Anti-Israel protesters swarmed former GOP presidential primary candidate Vivek Ramaswamy as he crossed Union Park in Chicago, just blocks from the DNC. “Racist go home! Racist go home!” the demonstrators shouted at Ramaswamy as his security detail formed a bubble of protection around him. “Why are you a genocidal warmonger?” she cried. The internet personality has made headlines for harassing Alec Baldwin in an anti-Israel temper tantrum at a coffee shop in the Big Apple — and later hamming it up on “Piers Morgan Uncensored” about the incident. Trump: Why didn’t ‘Marxist’ Kamala do anything for what she was complaining about?

By Jeff Poor | Breitbart Thursday, following Vice President Kamala Harris’ address to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, her opponent former President Donald Trump appeared on Fox News to respond to the speech. Trump maintained Harris had her entire vice-presidential term to solve what he called she was “complaining about” during her speech. “The biggest reaction is why didn’t she do the things she is complaining about?” Trump said. “All of these things that she’s talked about — we’re going to do this, we’re going to do that. We’re going to do everything. But she didn’t do any of it. She could have done it three-and-a-half years ago. She could do it tonight by leaving the auditorium and going to Washington D.C., and closing the border. She doesn’t need a bill. I didn’t...

Trump ends feud with swing-state governor he slammed as ‘disloyal’

By Emma Colton | Fox News Former President Donald Trump praised Republican Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp for supporting his election effort in the key battleground state after previously slamming the Peach State's executive as "disloyal." "Thank you to @BrianKempGA for all of your help and support in Georgia, where a win is so important to the success of our Party and, most importantly, our Country," Trump posted to Truth Social on Thursday evening.  "I look forward to working with you, your team, and all of my friends in Georgia to help MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!" The comments come after Trump repeatedly slammed the popular Georgia governor over the last four years for opposing Trump's challenge to the 2020 election results in the state. The final election results found Pre...

By Andrew Mark Miller | Fox News CHICAGO – Former President Donald Trump, as part of a live thread on Truth Social, blasted the Democratic National Convention speech of Vice President Kamala Harris in a variety of posts including one after she concluded talking about what she "didn't mention." "She didn’t mention China, she didn’t mention fracking, she didn’t mention Energy, she didn’t mention, meaningfully, Russia and Ukraine, she didn’t mention the big subjects of the day, that are destroying our Country," Trump posted on Truth Social shortly after Harris' speech concluded.  The former president posted several criticisms of Harris during the speech on several issues. 3 Things Kamala Harris Left Out of Her DNC Speech

By Bradley Delvin | Daily Signal Before Vice President Kamala Harris hit the stage to accept her party’s nomination for president Thursday night at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, her campaign told reporters what to expect.  Harris campaign officials leaked to the press that the sitting vice president would reintroduce herself to Americans, despite being the second most powerful person in the country for the past three and a half years.  And although questions linger about Harris’ policy positions despite her becoming the presumptive nominee shortly after fellow Democrats forced President Joe Biden out of the race a month ago, Harris was expected to take aim at The Heritage Foundation-led Project 2025, a policy agenda for the next conservative a...
