Harris Backtracks on 2020 Commitments in First Interview as Dem Candidate — but Can’t Explain Why

By Zach Kessel | National Review Vice President Kamala Harris addressed several high-profile flip-flops Thursday night in her first sit-down interview since ascending to the top of the Democratic ticket — but failed to explain exactly why she’s backed away from the progressive positions she staked out during her primary run four years ago. CNN’s Dana Bash first asked Harris about fracking, which the vice president came out in favor of banning during her ill-fated 2020 presidential primary campaign. “You know, and I made that clear on the debate stage in 2020 that I would not ban fracking as president, I did not ban fracking as vice president,” Harris said. “I will not ban fracking.” READ THE FULL STORY AT NATIONAL REIVEW

Signs that read ‘Kamala’s Migrants Must sit in the front’ posted on Colfax bus stops

By Morgan Whitley | KDVR The Regional Transportation District and local authorities are investigating what they called racist signs that have popped up at bus stations along Colfax Avenue. According to RTD, on Thursday, a bus operator spotted a sign at around 5 a.m. at a bus stop near Colfax Avenue and Oneida Street in the Montclair neighborhood. The operator said the metal sign was attached to a bus stop pole and appeared to have been installed shortly before the operator reported it. RTD said two more signs were found at bus stops at Colfax and Garfield Street and at Colfax and Yosemite Street. READ THE FULL STORY AT KDVR

Liberal NBC reporter calls out Kamala Harris for saying her ‘values haven’t changed’: ‘Her positions have changed’

By Joseph A. Wulfsohn | Fox News Yamiche Alcindor went viral for her blunt assessment of the VP's remarks. An NBC News reporter took aim at Vice President Kamala Harris for "not explaining why her positions have changed" during her first interview as the Democratic nominee.  On Thursday, CNN's Dana Bash pressed Harris about her various policy flip-flops that have raised eyebrows in recent weeks, abandoning the far-left agenda she campaigned on in 2019. "I think the most important and most significant aspect of my policy perspective and decisions is my values have not changed," Harris told Bash.  READ THE FULL STORY AT FOX NEWS

Biden-Harris admin working to ‘Trump-proof’ hundreds of DOJ jobs, watchdog says

By Jamie Joseph | Fox News The Biden-Harris administration may be attempting to "Trump-proof" the Department of Justice (DOJ) by hiring permanent appointees to some federal positions, according to findings from a watchdog group's public records request.  Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) documents obtained by Protect the Public’s Trust (PPT) and shared with Fox News Digital show the administration is using an "obscure hiring authority" that bypasses normal hiring processes based on merit to secure DOJ positions that could thwart former President Trump's agenda if he takes office in 2025.  READ THE FULL STORY AT FOX NEWS

Kamala Harris campaign responds to backlash, promises solo interview on mystery date

By Wendell Husebo | Breitbart Vice President Kamala Harris will give a solo interview on an unspecified date, the Harris campaign promised Thursday, following severe backlash regarding Gov. Tim Walz joining Harris in Thursday’s prerecorded interview on CNN. Harris brings along VP pick for her first sit-down interview

By Reagan Reese | Daily Caller Vice President Kamala Harris is set to sit down for her first interview since launching her campaign with CNN, and her running mate Gov. Tim Walz will be appearing alongside her. Harris and her campaign have faced growing pressure over the last month as the vice president has failed to hold a press conference or sit down for an interview since launching her bid for president. CNN announced Tuesday that its own Dana Bash will get the first chance to interview Harris in a segment airing Thursday, though the vice president will be accompanied by Walz. The vice president previously told reporters that she was hoping to get an interview scheduled by the end of the month. While deliberating whether Harris should do an interview, campaign aides were asking ...

Workers on Labor Day say inflation ‘erasing’ American dream, snuffing out hard work

By Paul Bedard | Washington Examiner People are depressed about the economy going into Labor Day and the final election push, believing that inflation under the Biden-Harris administration has erased their dreams. In a couple of new surveys, respondents said that the dream of buying a house has been snuffed out by rising prices and that most of their daily hard work has been eaten away by inflation. A WalletHub survey provided to Secrets on Wednesday said, “74% of people think inflation is erasing their hard work.” While most believe that they are doing better than Labor Day 2023, they apparently also feel that they are moving backward and working harder. Biden-Harris Administration uses little-known hiring mechanism to staff key DOJ divisions

By Robert Schmad | Daily Caller The Biden-Harris administration has deployed a little-known hiring mechanism to staff key divisions of the Department of Justice (DOJ) ahead of the 2024 election, according to documents provided to the Daily Caller News Foundation by Protect the Public’s Trust (PPT). Hundreds of people, primarily lawyers and judges, have been appointed to the Environmental and Natural Resources (ENRD) and Antitrust and Immigration Review divisions of the DOJ using its “Schedule A” hiring authority since President Joe Biden took office, documents shared with the DCNF by PPT show. Schedule A hiring does not require appointments to be made on the basis of merit and appointments do not expire at the end of the current president’s term, meaning these bureaucrats will stick ...

In another flip-flop, when Biden was running Dems wanted closed-mic, but now Harris seeks open-mic

By Olivia Land | Washington Examiner A lot has changed since President Joe Biden dropped out of the race and was replaced as Democratic nominee by Vice President Kamala Harris. The latest change: Back when Biden was the presumptive nominee, Democrats did not want to be interrupted by former President Donald Trump during a debate. Now under Harris, they do. That’s the main takeaway from Monday’s back-and-forth about whether the first presidential debate should be open-mic night. The original debate ground rules banned interruptions and crosstalk to the point that the networks could turn off the microphone of any candidate who tried to go beyond their allotted speaking time. Meta CEO admits Biden-Harris admin pressured company to censor Americans

By Greg Wehner | Fox Business Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted in a letter on Monday that his company, Facebook, was pressured by the Biden-Harris administration to censor Americans, particularly regarding COVID-19 content. Zuckerberg made the admission in a letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, more than a year after providing the committee with thousands of documents as part of its investigation into content moderation on online platforms. Along with documents, the Meta CEO said, the company has provided a dozen employees to be available for transcribed interviews, stressing Meta’s cooperation with the investigation.
