Police said eight were also wounded when 40-year-old Thomas Jacob Sanford rammed his car into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc, Mich., then opened gunfire and set fires. By Robert Garrison | Denver7 Local residents say the park’s condition has worsened CHERRY CREEK STATE PARK, Colo. — Park officials said that an increase in crime and large parties has led to the decision to close Cherry Creek State Park overnight. A Colorado Parks and Wildlife spokesperson stated that park rangers have observed an increase in after-dark, unpermitted parties in the park. CPW said these gatherings have led to an increase in vandalism, trash, and noise violations within the park. Due to these concerns, park rangers said the state park will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The only visitors allowed in the park during this time are campers, who must present their camping reservations to gain entry. By Heather Willard, Vicente Arenas | KDVR FOX31 DENVER (KDVR) — A man accused of carrying a long gun onto the University of Northern Colorado’s campus in Greeley appeared in court on Thursday for a bond hearing, just weeks after he was released from the Weld County Jail. Ephraim Debisa, 21, was released from jail on Sept. 8 after he was found not competent to stand trial in an attempted murder case, as is required by Colorado law. When he was released, the Weld County Sheriff’s Office issued a warning to the community, calling Debisa “dangerous” and highlighting his alleged previous violent actions. On Wednesday, the Weld County Sheriff’s Office announced Debisa was re-arrested at his home after a report of him inside a UNC residence hall holding a long gun on Tuesday. Accordin...

Texas ICE Attacker Had Roots in Liberal, Anti-Law Enforcement Family

By Matt Vespa | Townhall This will be another test to determine whether the legacy media’s power is truly waning. I think it is—they can no longer control narratives. The ones they trot out to distract us are easily dismissed as bunk. Still, we had another politically motivated attack in Texas yesterday, where Joshua Jahn, 29, opened fire on an ICE facility in Dallas, killing two detainees and injuring another before he committed suicide. No, he was not a right-winger. He was targeting federal vehicles. Jahn also had anti-ICE messaging on the ammunition. https://twitter.com/FoxNews/status/1970834192989827304 https://twitter.com/FBIDirectorKash/status/1970877754221498599 https://twitter.com/townhallcom/status/1970872533454111131 Now, his family roots have been revealed,...

By Alan Gionet | CBS Colorado Two weeks after the shooting at Evergreen High School, students are heading back to classes. It comes as parents and students continue to wonder about the possibility that there may have been ways to stop the shooter who injured two fellow students before taking his own life. "You don't ever want to be that individual that an active shooting happens... and you find out who it is, and you go, 'I knew that was going to happen. I knew it, right?' You gotta' live with that," said AJ DeAndrea, a former deputy police chief with the Arvada Police Department who now runs a safety consulting and training company and has reviewed such shootings to assess threats. His message is for parents, students, and community members who may have fears that someone may be ...

Jefferson County Sheriff releases timeline of SRO’s location during Evergreen shooting

By: Brooke Williams | Fox31 DENVER (KDVR) — The school resource officer assigned to Evergreen High School was not there at the time of the shooting earlier this month, raising questions about their whereabouts throughout the community. After the shooting on Wednesday, Sept. 10, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said during a press conference that the officer assigned to the school had left about two hours before shots were fired. Evergreen High School previously had a full-time School Resource Officer; however, that officer has been on medical leave, and the responsibility was being shared between other deputies. On Monday, the sheriff’s office released more information about the officer’s whereabouts that day. On Sept. 10, the SRO was going between Evergreen a...
