Trump signs ‘strategic economic partnership’ with Saudi Arabia

By Caitlin McFall  | Fox Business President Donald Trump on Tuesday signed a "strategic economic partnership" alongside Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The partnership included a series of deals on energy, defense, mining and space-based agreements that amount to $600 billion, and "could" help create up to 2 million U.S. jobs, Trump said on Tuesday.  Roughly a dozen memorandums of understanding and letters of intent were agreed to under the new partnership.  READ THE FULL STORY A FOX BUSINESS

Supreme Court orders temporary halt to deportation of Venezuelans under Alien Enemies Act

By Andrew C. McCarthy | National Review The Supreme Court acted Friday night to block the Trump administration from deporting Venezuelan aliens held in Texas whom the administration claims are members of Tren de Aragua (TdA) and, hence, argues are removable under the president’s Alien Enemies Act (AEA) proclamation. Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito dissented from the Court’s one-paragraph order. The Court indicated that Justice Alito is writing on the matter and we can expect him to issue an opinion shortly. Pending that, it is not clear to me whether the two justices are dissenting because they believe that the Court’s intervention is premature, that the Court READ THE FULL STORY AT NATIONAL REVIEW

Trump admin releases RFK assassination files

By Eireann Van Natta | Daily Caller Over 10,000 pages of previously classified documents were uploaded to the National Archives on Friday morning. “In the course of searching FBI and CIA warehouses for records not previously turned over to The National Archives, an additional 50,000 pages of RFK assassination files were discovered,” the press released added. RFK was assassinated by Sirhan Sirhan, a Palestinian refugee, Reuters reported. The former senator was shot soon after he won the 1968 California Democratic presidential primary, and he died the following day, the outlet said. “Lifting the veil on the RFK papers is a necessary step toward restoring trust in American government,” Health and Human Services (HHS) secretary and RFK’s son, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., stated ...

Trump Administration freezes $2 billion after Harvard refuses to meet demands

By James Lynch | National Review The Trump administration is freezing over $2 billion in federal funds to Harvard University, hours after the Ivy League school indicated it rejected the federal government's demands for various policy reforms intended to restore ideological balance on campus. The multi-agency Joint Task Force to Combat Antisemitism announced on Monday evening it would freeze Harvard's $2.2 billion in multiyear grants and a $60 million contract. "Harvard’s statement today reinforces the troubling entitlement mindset that is endemic in our nation's most prestigious universities and colleges – that federal investment does not come with the responsibility to uphold civil rights laws," the task force said ... Trump administration claims it has no duty to return deported migrant from El Salvador

By Kaelan Deese | Washington Examiner The Trump administration says it has no obligation to retrieve a man mistakenly deported to El Salvador, despite a Supreme Court ruling that ordered the government to “facilitate” his return. In a court filing Sunday, U.S. officials argued that the high court’s directive regarding Kilmar Abrego Garcia simply requires that the Trump administration not block his return should El Salvador elect to send him back, but that it does not require actively securing his release from a Salvadoran prison. Hanson: Donald Trump’s just trade war

By Victor Davis Hanson | The Free Press President Donald Trump has announced sweeping new tariffs on most goods imported into the U.S. from abroad. His flat 10 percent levy on all imported products and services came into effect on Saturday. Starting Wednesday, American tariffs will rise higher, in some cases quite dramatically so, on the European Union, China, India, Vietnam, and some of our Asian allies such as Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan—which have for decades unabashedly run large trade surpluses. The resulting 10 percent drop in the stock market over two days last week, to early 2023 levels, has prompted hysteria of the sort not seen since 2008. The more the American Left—not long ago, passionate advocates of Trump-style trade fairness—seeks political advantage through roars o...

Supreme Court allows Trump Administration to fire thousands of federal workers

By James Lynch | National Review The Supreme Court is allowing the Trump administration to move forward with its plans to fire thousands of probationary federal employees, overturning a lower court order preventing the terminations. The Supreme Court lifted an injunction Tuesday from a California federal court barring the Trump administration from firing employees across six federal agencies. The lower court order came last month following a lawsuit from the American Federation of Government Employees, a powerful public sector union. “The District Court’s injunction was based solely on the allegations of the nine non-profit-organization plaintiffs in this case. But under established law, those allegations are presently insufficient to support the organizations’ standing,” the just...

Trump holding nuclear talks with Iran on Saturday

By Thomas Stevenson | The Post Millennial President Donald Trump has said that the United States will be dealing "directly" with Iran in a high-level meeting regarding a nuclear deal come this Saturday. He made the comments in Monday's White House appearance with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. "We have a very big meeting on Saturday, and we're dealing with them directly," the president told reporters from the Oval Office as he answered questions regarding trade as well as tariff policy with Netanyahu. Israel has promised to drop all trade barriers for US goods. The meeting will be the first time that the US will be meeting with Iran directly since Trump met with the country in 2018 when the US pulled out of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Actio...

Supreme Court allows Trump Admin to enforce deportations of gang members under Alien Enemies Act

By Elizabeth Weibel | Breitbart The Supreme Court of the United States lifted a block from U.S. District Judges James Boasberg, which prevented the Trump administration from deporting suspected illegal alien gang members under the 1798 Alien Enemies Act. While the ruling from the Supreme Court is a win for President Donald Trump and his administration, it was described as “narrow and focused on the proper venue for the cases, rather than on the administration’s use of a centuries-old law to justify its decision” to deport suspected illegal alien gang members, according to the New York Times. Per the outlet, in a 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court justices found that “the migrants had improperly challenged their deportations in Washington, D.C.,” when they should have c...

Trump says Vietnam offers to cut tariffs on America to zero

By Nick Gilbertson | Breitbart President Donald Trump announced that Vietnam wants to drop tariffs on U.S. goods entirely if a deal can be struck between the countries. Trump revealed the major development following a phone call with the general secretary of Vietnam’s Communist Party, To Lam. “Just had a very productive call with To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, who told me that Vietnam wants to cut their Tariffs down to ZERO if they are able to make an agreement with the U.S.,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.
