The only catch is the bar is hidden, so you’ll have to find it yourself. The bar, known as Lincolns, has no extra hidden fees for the $5 drinks. It keeps it honest, just like Abraham Lincoln, hence the name, owner Mark Ohlson told FOX31. “Lincolns is where the lawyer, hipster, electrician and college student all meet in agreement around what the value of a dollar is,” Ohlson said. The shooting happened just before 3 a.m. Friday at the White Palace Grill, located at 1159 South Canal St. Police said a 42-year-old man was inside the diner and as he was walking out, another man fired gunshots. By Vicente Arenas | Fox 31 News The city of Aurora has slated another apartment for a cleanup in the wake of two others that had major code violations and issues with crime. The latest complex to be slated for cleanup is the Whispering Pines apartment complex in the 1300 block of Helena Street, not far from Chambers and Colfax. On Tuesday, FOX31 cameras captured full trash bins. It’s not clear when they were last emptied. The crew also found a number of boarded-up windows at Whispering Pines. The city of Aurora now says cleanup crews will make their way to Helena Street, after picking up a trash pile at another complex at Dallas Street and East 12th Avenue. A wild shootout at the complex focused attention on myriad problems residents say have been plaguing the property for months. FOX31 visited the complex Monday and saw broken windows covered with doors. Someone had even set up what appeared to be a makeshift snack store out of a basement window. More than 12 hours after the shooting, investigators were still at the complex. Police tape surrounded two buildings. Several cars were pierced by bullets, some with broken glass. Livestock producers write letter again asking CPW, Polis to kill depredating wolves

By Heather Willard | Fox 31 News Some of Colorado’s livestock producers have renewed their plea to Colorado Parks and Wildlife: Kill the wolves in Grand and Jackson counties that have killed ranchers’ cattle. Several groups wrote letters this week to CPW officials and Gov. Jared Polis asking that the known wolves depredating Colorado ranches be lethally removed. Depredations occur when a predator “plunders” or preys upon a farmer’s crop. In Grand and Jackson counties, wolves were depredating sheep and cattle. Ranchers first asked for the wolves to be lethally removed in April. There were six depredation events recorded by CPW in April alone, involving four calves and four cattle. The Board of Education’s 7-0 vote will ask Denver voters in November for the bond to make improvements at aging schools districtwide, including installing air conditioning at schools still without it. Aurora school bus catches fire with 14 children on board

Aurora Fire Rescue said it happened around 4 p.m. near East 11th Avenue and North Picadilly Road. Firefighters responded to find the bus “heavily engulfed in flames.” All 14 children aboard were safely evacuated and unharmed, according to Aurora Fire Rescue. Former Denver cardiologist convicted on 35 counts of drugging, assaulting women

By Maddie Rhodes | Fox 31 News On Tuesday, former Denver cardiologist Stephen Matthews was convicted after being accused of drugging and sexually assaulting multiple women he met on dating apps. Matthews was charged with 38 counts relating to what the prosecution said were patterns of alleged sexual assaults. The jury deemed Matthews guilty on all counts except counts 23, 24 and 25. The not-guilty charges include assault – sexual assault incapable of appraising nature, sexual assault physically helpless and sexual assault submission against will.
